TV Ratings Report: TGIT Crushes the Competition

The return of TGIT sent ABC's ratings higher. 

ABC: Grey's Anatomy (9.5 million/2.6 rating) and How to Get Away with Murder (5.4 million/1.5 rating) surged to season highs, while Scandal (7.7 million/2.1 rating) returned with its best numbers in 11 months. 

People still love to get their fill of Shonda's dramas. Props to Grey's Anatomy for performing so strongly after 13 years on the air. 

The CW: Supernatural (1.7 million/0.6 rating) moved to an earlier time slot and managed to stay in line with recent ratings. Riverdale (1.4 million/0.5 rating) had a modest debut when you consider the relentless promotion for the series.

We'll need to wait a few weeks to get a clearer picture on whether it will be a success, or not. 

Fox: Hell's Kitchen (4 million/1.2 rating) and My Kitchen Rules (2.2 million/0.8 rating) slipped a tenth. 

CBS: It was encores of The Big Bang Theory (9.3 million/1.6 rating), The Great Indoors (7.1 million/1.2 rating) and the series finale of Pure Genius (5.2 million/0.7 rating). CBS also aired a Mary Tyler Moore Special (6.7 million/0.7 rating). 

NBC: It was encores of Superstore (2.4 million/0.7 rating), Chicago Med (4 million/0.7 rating) and The Blacklist (2.5 million/0.5 rating).
