Outlander is a favorite here at TV Fanatic and for good reason.

It has solid writing, directing and a likable cast, but we're counting down the days until the show returns for Outlander Season 3.

That new season will debut in September 2017, but Starz has now revealed when we can expect the first teaser to drop for the season ahead, and it's actually pretty soon.

Starz is debuting The White Princess, which serves as the sequel series to The White Queen on April 16. During the first episode of the miniseries, Starz will unveil the first teaser trailer for Outlander.

Like we said, it's pretty soon! The network also unveiled two pictures from the upcoming teaser.

Outlander Season 3 will focus on Claire's life as she returns to her life in 1948. As you are probably well aware, Claire struck up a relationship with Jamie while she was away from home.

How will that affect her marriage to first husband, Frank? Will he have moved on in her absence, or will he be waiting for her to return to him?

Meanwhile, Jamie is expected to find himself in a tough situation after his failed last stand at the battle of Culloden. In addition to that, he will have to come to terms with the loss of Claire.

With the lovers separated by time and location, will they be able to find a way to return to one another and live the rest of their lives as a happy couple?

We sure hope so. Who doesn't love a good love story on their favorite TV show?

Season 3 of the hit series will be based on the third book in the book series, titled "Voyager."
