Quantico Season 2 Episode 19 Review: MHORDER

Please tell me this is the end of all of this Clay and Shelby nonsense.

On Quantico Season 2 Episode 19, the task force required Clay and Maxine's engagement to help with the mission, but on Quantico Season 2 Episode 16, Maxine was in the loop from the beginning, and she found she was actually enjoying herself.

The only good thing to come out of this Clay and Shelby drama is Maxine - well, okay and also Caleb's return, but more on that later.

Using a Party - Quantico

Maxine is just a delight. She was a lot of fun during this hour, and the best part about her is that she isn't an idiot.

As soon as Clay proposed eloping, I rolled my eyes. I mean really dude?

Thankfully, Maxine saw right through that. While they had a good night, working together to stop a conspiracy, Maxine still knew that there was something else going on, and she called him out on it.

While Caleb went the sarcasm route, Maxine went right for the heart. She didn't maliciously respond to Clay's proposal, but she let Clay know that his reasons better be right because otherwise, it's not happening.

Everything else about the Clay and Shelby "romance" is an absolute mess.

There wasn't a point to this entire storyline other than making another Haas man fall in love with Shelby. As a character, Shelby has a lot more to offer than being a siren.

Are we supposed to be proud of Clay for recognizing Shelby's power over him and asking her not to catch him when he falls for her? Because I'm not. I'd rather they were just civil and polite to one another throughout the course of this task force, and Shelby had some other side storyline to focus on.

Shelby: Wow you haven't changed at all, have you?
Caleb: Well, I've cut back on the heroin.

It looks like we're finally done with this, so that's nice. The downside is that Caleb's on his way back to school. It was great having your sass back in our lives. I only wish you interacted more with the team.

The mission went terribly, which isn't all that shocking.

The Couple that Spies Together - Quantico Season 2 Episode 19

For a while now, everyone has been harping at how the collaborators were five steps ahead of them.

So, while bribing them or blackmailing them is a smart play, the task force should have been prepared for the collaborators to see the move coming.

It was fun to see the task force and collaborators in the same room together, not hiding anything.

All conversations were very open and frank. No one was hiding their cards.

The task force members were like, "Yeah we know you're a collaborator plotting to overthrow the government," and the collaborators were like, "Yeah, and you suck at taking us down."

Owen and Alex - Quantico Season 2 Episode 19

The dialogue was refreshing, especially President Haas and Roarke's. Their conversation was absolutely amazing. It was so awesome to see President Haas out on the front lines, so to speak.

Alex going undercover as a collaborator ally will definitely be intriguing. This will be a new test of Alex's skills, and Owen will have to get back into the ring and be a handler again.

It's a promising twist that changes the game for the final three episodes. While it's too early to tell, I have hope that this will lead to a thrilling showdown. Are you excited to see Alex go undercover?

Lastly, I'd like to report a missing person: Dayana Mampasi. If seen, please tell her to return to Quantico immediately.

Her absence made sense for an episode, but now it's like why was she even put on the task force at all if she wasn't going to be around for a good bit of the job? Have you missed Dayana?

Quantico Season 2 Episode 19 Quotes

You know what's a really great way to stay away from someone? By spending the entire night with them alone.

Caleb

Hello? Is anybody that I went to Quantico with but now works on a top secret task force attempting to stop a vast conspiracy to overthrow my mom home or are you out fighting."
