The Arrangement Season 1 Episode 5 Review: Temptation

What's real and what's not real?

Things got more confusing than ever on The Arrangement Season 1 Episode 5 as Megan took a class at the Institute and showed us all what a great actress she really is.

Taking a Class - The Arrangement

So what is Megan's end game here?

She really doesn't seem to be that much into Kyle anymore since they separated after Kyle's big party. It doesn't seem she really cares if she breaks the contract, yet she's still going through the motions.

Is the fakeness of it all finally getting to her? Or is she really the one who's being the fake one?

I was floored when she took the bonfire girl's story and made it her own. I probably would have done something similar if I was being forced to attend something I really didn't want to.

It's not even that she's doing it for Kyle. I just don't get the feeling that she really cares about him anymore. She just seems bored with it all.

The oomph that was there before between the two of them is just gone.

Kissy Kissy - The Arrangment - The Arrangement Season 1 Episode 5

Sure they kiss and they sit around the fire and watch the beautiful scenery from his living room, but it all feels forced.

Then again, did she want him to go to the bonfire with her to try to make him normal again? Or was she secretly glad that he didn't want to go with her? She seemed to be having quite a bit of fun without him.

And of course, we can't forget about the kiss with Nate.

Megan is yearning for something and it doesn't seem like she's getting it with Kyle. Nate might be more Megan's style because he seems to be down to earth.

He's also giving her a chance, and that's really what she wants...a chance. She wants to make a name for herself and she's willing to do whatever she needs to get what she wants.

Isn't that why she got together with Kyle in the first place? Why she signed the contract?

She thought she was going to be in his next movie. It was going to be her big break. If she had to fake it until she made it, that's what she was going to do. Only it didn't work out the way she thought it was going to with Kyle.

She didn't get the part. You have to wonder if that was the only reason she agreed to "the arrangement" with Kyle.

Sure she had fun, but what normal girl wouldn't?

There's something about Megan that is really bothersome. It just might turn out that in the end, she's the one who's really fake.

Kyle seems lost in another world. He' definitely not being himself. He seems very sad. Does it have to do with his dying father or does it have to do with the fact he lied about his father? Or is it something else?

Doesn't his lies about his father go against what the Institute is teaching or supposed to be teaching?

He truly seems to care about Megan. And his need to bring more realism into his acting suggests he's getting tired of the fakeness; that perhaps he's ready to start being real.

He sees Megan as his opportunity to be real. He seems to forget he's in a contract with her. It could be that he really loves her.

While Megan kissed Nate and had to wonder later if she really felt something, Kyle didn't think twice about turning down the woman who visited him that night. He wasn't interested.

Megan never went back to Kyle's place after the bonfire, but Kyle was there waiting for Megan when she got out of practice. It says a lot.

Is there role reversal going on here?

A couple of other things.

The IHM - The Arrangement Season 1 Episode 5

What exactly is up Terence's sleeve with bringing the journalist woman into the fold? What is he trying to prove?

I get the feeling Megan turned her in because she figured out Terence had something to do with it. Or maybe I'm just reading too much into it.

And what's the deal with Anika and Deann? That whole situation is Hollyweird.

What did you think of "Temptation"? Why do you think Megan lied? Is she still in love with Kyle or is the honeymoon over? Hit the comments and share your thoughts!
