Sigh. 

Yet another cliffhanger involving Lindsay's job situation. Do the writers have some sort of quota they have to fill? Is there something in Sophia Bush's contract? 

So, what happens next? 

At least Chicago PD Season 4 Episode 23 acknowledged the other two times Lindsay has left Intelligence. The DEA task force didn't last very long, and neither did her bender. It's probably safe to say she's not going anywhere, and if she does, she'll be back in a jiffy. 

There are differences this time, of course. 

She didn't have as much of a choice in the matter as she did in the past. Her job with Intelligence was on very shaky ground, so she wasn't exactly choosing to leave. 

Working with the FBI may be her only chance to stay in law enforcement. This is her career at stake, and she loves it.

But, does she love it more than Jay? 

First of all, it's great that Jay all of a sudden wants to fix his relationship with Erin, but what about that pesky first marriage of his? 

Are they seriously just not going to tell us what happened there? 

The whole reason he left her in the first place was to get that all sorted out, and now he's holding a ring and planning to propose!

Are we just supposed to assume he got divorced and everything is peachy now? 

Okay, so we are left with Jay's big engagement party, which is actually just the gang hanging out at Molly's, and Lindsay alone on the bridge ignoring his calls. 

Will she get in her car and leave for New York without saying goodbye or head to Molly's to at least give him an explanation? Personally, I'd rather see Jay track her down on that bridge. That backdrop was gorgeous and a much more romantic spot to pop the question.

Between Casey and Dawson, and Platt and Mouch, it's time to retire Molly's for all future weddings and proposals. Agreed?

Platt: Your mother's world record streak of bad luck and crap timing is still going strong, but you don't want to go up there.
Lindsay: I just want to help, ok, I'm not looking to cover for Bunny.
Platt: Ok, not only shouldn't you go up there, you can't. Per Chief Lugo, you can't palm in. If you want to disobey, it's me chaperoning, and frankly I don't need the cardio.

Bunny's back along with all the craziness that tends to follow her. 

Whatever Lindsay decides to do, she absolutely needs that woman out of her life for good. 

She's a cancer. Every time she shows up, she pulls Lindsay down with her. Assuming Lindsay stays, Bunny needs to go. We will see just how much weight Voight's threat will carry. 

Bunny: Does she know?
Voight: No one knows. No one can.
Bunny: Thank you.
Voight: Oh, it's not like that. "Cause I promise you, the second you put her in jeopardy, I'm coming after you.

This is obstruction of justice. It makes perfect sense that Voight tossed the glasses after leaving Bunny, because if he ever actually followed through on his threat, he'd be in just as much hot water. 

What's he going to do? Produce evidence from a murder months or years after the fact and pretend he just stumbled upon it? Considering the reputation he has, that probably wouldn't go over too well. 

Bunny's not all that smart, though, so chances are she will get the hell out of dodge and leave Lindsay alone. Protecting herself is her number one priority. 

I'll admit, I was a little surprised to find out that Bunny did it. As the case was playing out I started to get suspicious but didn't think they'd go there. 

Chicago PD Season 3 ended with Lindsay's surrogate dad a committing murder that she eventually had to cover up, and Chicago PD Season 4 ended almost the same way, except this time Lindsay's covering for her mother, and she doesn't know she did it. 

Well, she probably does. Voight doesn't have the best poker face. 

If Chicago Med's Will wasn't about to go all in with Natalie, I would wonder if maybe there was something between him and Upton. It was subtle, but it looked like they shared a moment. 

At least it is safe to say that Upton is one of the good guys. She could have ratted out Lindsay to the review board, but she had her back. It helps that she has that special relationship with Platt, but she probably would have gone to battle for Lindsay either way. 

Upton: I'm taking my FOP lawyer. We've prepped. Nothing's going to bounce on this unit or Lindsay. I'm not that kind of cop.
Platt: Good. Then I came up here for nothing.

If Lindsay does take the job in New York, they don't have to worry about finding her replacement. 

Of course, I want Lindsay to stay and Burgess to come back, but I wouldn't hate the idea of finding a way for Upton to stick around for awhile. For a newbie, she already fits right in. 

Assuming Lindsay stays (and I am), there's still the situation with her current job. Sure, Voight will eventually figure out a way to get her back, but what about in the meantime? 

Maybe Lindsay gets temporarily demoted back down to beat cop while Upton keeps her desk warm? Or will she be out of a job completely? Hey, more time for wedding planning! 

We'll have to wait all summer to find out.
