The Blacklist: Renewed for Season 5 at NBC!

at .

The Blacklist has many more cases to solve for NBC.

The series has been renewed for a fifth season of 22 episodes, set to air during the 2017-2018 season.

The Blacklist Season 4 has been a reliable performer in the ratings, currently averaging 5.3 million viewers and a 1.0 rating among adults 18-49.

Those figures represent a 30 percent drop in the demo from The Blacklist Season 3, but the show remains one of the most timeshifted series on TV.

Season 4 of the series wraps on May 18 and will find Red putting a deadly plan in motion to save his Task Force from the elusive Mr. Kaplan.

That villain has been one step ahead of the characters at every turn over the last few weeks, so getting to see her meet her end should be interesting for fans to watch.

The Blacklist Season 4 Episode 20 airs tonight, with Liz becoming the target of a mercenary known as The Debt Collector. This forces Red to turn to an unlikely source for help.

Spin-off series, The Blacklist: Redemption is not expected to continue, but we should get confirmation in the next few days.

That series struggled to keep up the pace in the ratings, with Season 1 averaging just 4 million viewers and a 0.8 rating.

If it does not return, you can expect Tom to make a return to the parent series.

Tom Aims - The Blacklist: Redemption Season 1 Episode 7

The Blacklist joins This Is Us, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, Chicago Justice, The Good Place, Blindspot, Taken, Superstore and Shades of Blue as the series NBC has thus far renewed for the 2017-2018 season.

Emerald City, Timeless, Grimm and Powerless have already been given the pink slip from the network, while the fate of Chicago Justice looks set to go down to the wire.

Yes, there's a very real possibility that One Chicago is about to be split up.

Gulp.

You have no idea who you're dealing with, Agent Ressler. You need to stand down.

Did you hear me? I said I need his new name. Give it to me or I'll have the Miami Field Office tear your practice apart faster than you can say tummy tuck.
