Sonny confessed to a murder he didn’t remember committing, while Nicole begged forgiveness for a drug induced kiss, and Jade decided it was time to leave Salem.

Our TV Fanatics Jack Ori and Christine Orlando are joined by Bruce from MyHourglass a Days of Our Lives fan forum to debate Sonny’s decision to confess, what Jade will tell Tripp before she leaves town, and with which Salemite they’d like to share dinner.  

Was Victor correct? Was Sonny foolish to confess to murdering Deimos?

Jack:  Victor was right that Sonny was foolish to confess since his fuzzy memory amounts to nothing one way or the other. But Victor should have as much concern for his wife's nephew as for his own, so I was still irritated with him.

Bruce: Yes! No one even knows exactly what was going on that night because of the Halo.

Christine: Yeah, Victor was right. Sonny’s confession was pretty ridiculous. He barely remembers having an argument with Deimos, at a party where everyone was drugged and plenty of people wanted Deimos dead.

The entire storyline is so preposterous that it’s difficult to watch. 

With whom would you choose to go out to dinner: Kate, Marlena, Valerie, or Kayla?

Jack: I have always loved Kayla since I started watching as a little kid, so I'd have to go out to dinner with her, though Marlena is a close second as I need someone to help me get a counseling job after I graduate!

Bruce: Kate. Imagine all the stories she has! The woman has seen everything.

Christine: I think Kate would be the most fun. Can you imagine all of the snarky comments she’d have while we people watch at dinner? 

Should Nicole have told Brady about kissing Eric?

Jack: Yes. I liked seeing her outgrow the keeping useless secrets behavior that has been her downfall over the past couple of years. Brady's reaction, on the other hand, was totally ridiculous.

Bruce: She should have told him right away. Stretching it out like that makes it seem even more like she has something to hide.

Christine: Although it was nothing but a drug induced kiss, I was happy Nicole was honest, but I’m with Jack about Brady. He totally overreacted, and I’m tired of seeing Nicole have to beg for forgiveness from people when she’s done nothing wrong. 

Who do you think killed Deimos?

Jack: I suspect Dario at this point since he left the party and is generally obnoxious and a criminal. 

Bruce: I’m going to left field for this one and am going to say Maggie. She's the only name not being floated around.

Christine: I hope it’s Dario, because I’m not a fan of his and I’d love to see him leave Salem.

But really, I have no clue. With everyone being high on Halo, it could be almost anyone. 

Jade’s leaving Salem. Do you think she’ll tell Tripp the truth about Kayla, or about Joey killing Ava before she goes? Do you hope she returns?

Jack: I doubt Jade is capable of telling anyone the truth about anything. I'm glad she's going though, I wish she was going to jail for filming Claire and Theo having sex without their consent, which is a pretty serious crime that everyone is overlooking.

Bruce: I could see her telling Tripp that was really Joey that killed Ava to cause a rift in their relationship. And she had better not come back... her character is of no usefulness whatsoever.

Christine: I’m thrilled she’s leaving, as Bruce says, she’s useless and I frequently feel the urge to fast-forward through her scenes.

However, I hope she tells Tripp the truth about Joey. At least Tripp would have a real reason to be angry instead of the made up nonsense she fed him about Kayla.

Was there a scene (or scenes) that you fast-forwarded through or perhaps wished you had?

Jack: All things Abby and Dario, including Jennifer trying again to convince her ridiculous daughter to see reason.

Tripp and Jade are a close second.

Bruce: I seem to always fast forward any scenes with Abby lately.

Christine: Abby and Dario make me cringe. Dario has become creepy and controlling, while Abigail is naive bordering on dumb. Together they are virtually unwatchable.

But I have to agree with Jack, Tripp and Jade are a very close second. 

What was your favorite scene or story line on this week’s Days of Our Lives?

Jack: I really liked seeing Claire struggle to hold down her job as a waitress and the awkward post-breakup between her and Theo. Finally a realistic story for the teens!

I also loved seeing Steve supporting Kayla. Scenes between these two are always a winner.

Bruce: The scenes with Sonny and Ari at the police station were really cute and well acted. I love that she calls him Daddy.

Christine: I enjoyed Chad and Theo playing chess. I love their conversations and that Theo can be open and honest with his uncle. Plus, Chad trying to understand what happened with the sex tape was kind of comical.
