Jennifer Aniston Returns to Television with Reese Witherspoon!

You can go home again.

Jennifer Aniston will return to television for the first time since Friends went off the air with her old pal and one time Friends "sister," Reese Witherspoon.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two women are attached to one of the biggest TV packages to hit Hollywood in ages.

When can news without any details become one of the biggest stories of the day? When two strong and talented women are attached.

After Friends, Aniston concentrated on her movie career.

Throughout her movie career, Aniston has been involved in both more dramatic roles like those in Cake as well as those in big budget comedies like the sexy, yet horrible boss in the Horrible Bosses franchise.

Aniston hasn't completely shied away from TV, but her parts have been small, such as on Cougar Town and Burning Love.

She's watched her husband, Justin Theroux, thrive creatively with his role on HBO's The Leftovers, and Reese Witherspoon also on HBO on Big Little Lies, for which she just received an Emmy nomination.

The project in question will center on "morning shows and the larger New York media scene that they inhabit."

And from there, the crowd goes wild.

The untitled series is expected to be the focus of one of the biggest bidding wars in a long time and is being shopped to big name cable outlets like HBO as well as Netflix and others.

Given the Witherspoon and Theroux connection at HBO, I'd expect them to be a strong contender.

It's wonderful Witherspoon is continuing her love for the longer dramatic form, and I hope she continues the trend into the future.

Additionally, the project is based on an original idea from former HBO head of drama, Michael Ellenberg. He's just launched a film and TV production company named Media Res that will be at the front of the series.

House of Cards scribe Jay Carson is attached to write the script and Oscar nominee Steve Kloves will executive produce.

Of course, Witherspoon will be an executive producer with Hello Sunshine and Lauren Levy Neustadter. Aniston will also be credited.

Television keeps bringing us the goodies, and we keep lapping it up. This is certainly one to keep an eye on as the project develops.

Every successful business is full of people who spent money nurturing unremarkable talent.

Eric: Why are you here then?
Harper: Well, it's not a very political answer, but I think mediocrity is too well hidden by parents who hire private tutors. I am here on my own.
