Once Upon a Time is taking to the future in Season 7.

The fantasy drama series drew a line under most of the storylines at the close of Once Upon a Time Season 6 and is gearing up for a major refresh.

With six series regulars out of the equation and a new setting, things are set to be very different for the show.

Henry and Cinderella - Once Upon a Time

As expected, fans had a lot of questions for the cast and crew at the 2017 San Diego Comic Con panel for the show, and we've rounded up all the scoop from the panel which was moderated by Yvette Nicole Brown.

Colin O'Donoghue, Lana Parrilla, Robert Carlyle, Andrew J. West, Dania Ramirez and Gabrielle Anwar all appeared at the panel, though some of them were brought out later.

Naturally, fans have questioned whether the revamped version of the series would mean that the previous seasons have been for nothing, but co-creator Eddy Kitsis put those fears to bed at the start of the panel.

“We had a plan for the original show that ran six seasons — at a point, we felt like it was time for some characters to get some happy endings,” Kitsis said, adding that nothing from the past six seasons will be erased. “We are going to take a few new characters and go on a new journey, and we hope you’ll come along with us.”

Battle Ready - Once Upon a Time Season 6 Episode 22

Fans wanted to know more about Hook because, well, his character has had so many different things happen to him over the years.

"Hook is a complicated character, and it's been great to explore the relationships of the past and the ones to come," Colin O'Donoghue said.

The panel then welcomed the new additions to the show on to the stage, before showing off the first two scenes of Once Upon a Time Season 7 Episode 1.

Henry looks mature and heads off on a motorcycle out of Storybrooke to find his own story. Turns out, Storybrooke is not for him.

Before leaving, Regina asks, "How long will you be gone?"

Regina's on Standby - Once Upon a Time Season 6 Episode 19

He replies, "As long as it takes." So, that probably means whenever the show is coming to a close.

The next scene finds Adult Henry bumping into Cinderella in the woods.

Colin then interjected, asking, "Where did he get the gas for the bike?"

"I don't need you to point out plot holes," said Adam Horowitz in a playful manner.

There was even some chatter about new babies for key characters, with O'Donoghue confirming he would be interested in exploring Captain Swan babies. He's such a tease.

“I think it would be interesting to see [Hook and Emma having children],” O’Donoghue said. “Hook and Emma love each other, and they’re married, so I think the next logical step would be … to have a baby.”

Dania Ramirez as Cinderella - Once Upon a Time

Talk turned to Dania Ramirez as the new Cinderella. She dropped the bomb that she was a huge fan of the show but had no idea that she was playing the character when she was cast.

“I didn’t know I was auditioning for Cinderella,” Ramirez said. “I loved [the show], so I was super excited.”

It was then revealed that Henry would request help, and Hook, Regina, and Rumple are the ones to leap to his side to help.

With all of the storyline teases, we got confirmation that the show was planning on introducing a prominent LGBT character.

"We are planning to do it this year," Kitsis said.

We finally got some clarity on who the new actors would be playing. Mekia Cox is tapped as Princess Tiana, Adelaide Kane is playing a step sister named Drizella, and Rose Reynolds is playing a new take on Alice.

Alice in Wonderland

Eddy had the best response to the return of Alice.

"Since no one watched the spinoff. I'm looking at you all," he laughed. FYI: Once Upon a Time in Wonderland was canceled after one season in 2014.

Another trailer was shown at the end of the panel with glimpses of the new characters.
