at .

Supernatural has been on the air since 2005, and the show is still going strong. Well, strong enough for The CW to take another stab at a spin-off.

Doing her Job - Supernatural Season 10 Episode 8

At the show's San Diego Comic-Con panel, new details emerged about the Wayward Sisters offshoot, and we also got some more clarity on which actors would be making a move from the parent series.

Briana Buckmaster, Kathryn Newton, and Katherine Ramdeen are tapped to appear alongside fellow Supernatural veteran Kim Rhodes.

The series will begin as a backdoor pilot on an episode of Supernatural Season 13 before The CW makes a decision about whether to order a full-fledged standalone version of the show.

The new show is set to follow Sheriff Jody Mills, who joins a group of troubled young women who have each had their fair share of tragedy thanks to the supernatural.

Together, they will become a force to be reckoned with against the supernatural. With Jody training the women, it's evident they will be a great team.

Sounds like a solid hook for a TV series, right?

Buckmaster is tapped to reprise her role as Sheriff Donna Hanscum. She's already very close with Jody, but she's not exactly well versed in the hunter lifestyle.

Meanwhile, Newton is returning as Claire Novak. If you watch Supernatural online, you will remember her as the daughter of to the man who became the vessel for Castiel.

After everything that went down for her, she lives with Jody, but the two women can't agree on ground rules.

Ramdeen will continue to portray Alex, who has been put under the care of Jody.

Finally, Claire Backo is a new addition to the series as Patience Turner. The youngster will be thrown into a life of turmoil when she learns that she is a psychic.

Desperate to turn her life around she winds up living with Jody and the new family.

Supernatural Quotes

Why do they call this place The Empty? It's full. It's full of sorrow and despair playing over and over again of angels and demons dreaming about their regrets. Forever.
