Katee Sackhoff has been cast on CW drama The Flash in a recurring capacity for the show's upcoming fourth season.
She will play DC Comics villain Amunet Black aka Blacksmith.
Blacksmith is the boss of an underground black market for supervillains.
With a lot of metahumans at her disposal, Blacksmith will stop at nothing to make sure her business thrives in every way possible.
Her first appearance is slated for The Flash Season 4 Episode 5, which is aptly titled "Girls Night Out."
That installment will also feature an appearance from Arrow veteran, Emily Bett Rickards, who will reprise her role as the talented Felicity Smoak.
Considering the title of the episode, are we to assume that Felicity is stopping by to embark on night out with the likes of Iris and Caitlin?
I have no idea, but that's my best guess based on the episode title alone.
If you're a fan of genre fare, then the chances are that you've witnessed the awesome acting chops of Sackhoff before.
Her extensive TV credits include Battlestar Galactica, Bionic Woman, 24 and more recently, Longmire.
With Longmire confirmed to be ending, fans have been questioning which role the actress would take on next, and this news is fascinating.
Sackhoff is not the only Battlestar Galactica veteran to make the jump to The Flash. In recent years, Rekha Sharma, Tahmoh Penikett, and James Callis have appeared.
As previously reported, Neil Sandilands has been cast as the big villain for Season 4.
He is tapped to appear as The Thinker and will embark on a season-long battle with the scarlet speedster.
His right-hand will be played by Kim Engelbrecht. She will be playing The Mechanic, the brains behind all of The Thinker's crazy operations.
