Despite a flurry of controversy, Bachelor in Paradise (5 million/1.5 rating) finally returned to the air last night, and it did so in winning fashion.
That was right on par with last summer's average, and also marked a premiere high.
The Gong Show (2.9 million/0.8 rating), however, failed to benefit from the solid lead-in support.
Over on NBC, American Ninja Warrior (5.9 million/1.4 rating) and Midnight, Texas (3.2 million/0.8 rating) were right on par with their recent ratings.
If Midnight, Texas stays stable all summer, it will likely snag a second season renewal for next year.
So You Think You Can Dance (2.8 million/0.7 rating) remained on the low side for Fox, and could very well be wrapping up for good this year.
