at .

The CW's Arrowverse is getting ready to come back with brand new seasons for their superhero shows. One of them is Arrow, the series that kicked off the big DC TV Universe on The CW.

Arrow Season 5 ended on the biggest cliffhanger of all time when the Emerald Archer witnessed Lian Yu getting blown up. But the worst part was that everyone in Team Arrow was still trapped there when Prometheus blew the island up.

With the show getting ready to return for its sixth year, we've learned quite a lot about Arrow Season 6 in the last few months. If you wish to not get spoiled, then stop reading any further. Go through the slides below to find out everything we know about Arrow Season 6 so far!

1. Enter Michael Emerson

LOST and Person of Interest’s Michael Emerson will be joining the DC TV Universe in Arrow Season 6. It remains to be seen who his unnamed mystery character actually is.

All we know is that he is going to be one of the new threats for the Green Arrow this year. Executive producer Wendy Mericle teased in an interview what sort of character we can expect from Emerson.

“This character that we’re having [Michael] play is somewhat similar to people has has played in the past. But we had many conversations with him about how to make it different, and what elements we could bring to the character to change it up.”

Hit the comments below with your theories on who he might be playing!

2. FBI To Follow Green Arrow

Oliver is going to have to watch his back quite a lot in Arrow Season 6 with new foes and mysterious figures following him. One of them is going to be FBI agent Samanda Watson who will be played by GLOW star Sydelle Noel.

Samanda will be investigating Oliver’s connection to the Emerald Archer. Might Star City find out that their mayor is none other than the Green Arrow? Only time will tell.

3. Return Of Ragman

One of the new team members that joined Arrow Season 5 was Rory Regan a.k.a. Ragman, played by Joe Dinicol. However, the character exited the series in the middle of the fifth year as Ragman’s mystical rags lost the magical abilities.

But it appears that he may have figured out a way to restore those abilities because Ragman is coming back. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed to a fan on Twitter that Ragman will be back in episode 5 titled “Deathstroke Returns”.

It remains to be seen whether he is only back for one episode or if we will see more of Ragman in Arrow Season 6.

4. Oliver Meets Fatherhood

In the last two years, Oliver’s son William Clayton has slowly become a larger part of the Green Arrow’s life. After the events of the Arrow Season 5 finale, Oliver’s role as a father is going to get bigger than ever as William will be living with his father.

Oliver’s five years of hell in Lian Yu, Hong Kong and Russia may have prepared him to handle pretty much anything. But fatherhood was definitely not part of that journey so it will be fun to see how Oliver takes on this new aspect in a bigger capacity.

It remains to be seen whether or not his mother Samantha survived the explosion on Lian Yu. You’ll have to tune in on Thursday nights at 9 PM to find out if she did survive.

5. Vigilante Will Finally Get Unmasked

In Arrow Season 5, we got introduced to DC Comics character Vigilante who everyone thought was Adrian Chase. But given that Adrian turned out to be Prometheus, we still don’t know who the Vigilante is.

However, that is going to change in Arrow Season 6 as we’ll finally get some answers to that question. According to Guggenheim in an interview from earlier in the year, we will recognize whoever is underneath that mask.

“I’m probably not spoiling anything by saying whoever’s underneath the Vigilante mask, you’ve seen that person before.”

Got any guesses of who Vigilante is? Sound off in the comments below!

6. Richard Dragon Is Coming To Star City

One of Green Arrow’s villains in the comics is Richard Dragon and given that the show has already used most of the Emerald Archer’s baddies, it’s time for the Dragon to arrive in Star City. Kirk Aceyedo (Fringe) will be bringing Ricardo Diaz to life in Arrow Season 6, but will be quite different from his comic counterpart.

“A hardened ex-con recently released from prison for crimes he didn’t commit, Ricardo Diaz is bent on taking over Star City’s criminal underworld. A master in hand to hand combat, honed by years of life on the street, Diaz has yet to meet a foe he can’t take down.”

7. Huntress Might Be Back In Arrow Season 6

One of the first DC Comics characters that the show introduced was Helena Bertinelli a.k.a. Huntress, played by Jessica De Gouw. While Huntress hasn’t been on the DC drama since Arrow Season 2, but it looks like she might be back this year.

In an interview at San Diego Comic-Con, Mericle teased that they have some ideas for Huntress in the second half of Arrow Season 6. While not setting anything in stone, chances are good.

“I want to say, ‘Absolutely.’ Jessica De Gouw has expressed an absolute willingness to come back. Jessica’s a favorite actor of mine, and the Huntress is a favorite character of mine. I want to make it happen in Season 6. We’ve got some plans for the later half of the year that I think she will fit into really well, so we’ll see.”

8. Felicity And Oliver’s Specific Trajectory

Since their break-up in Arrow Season 4, Oliver and Felicity have continued to work as allies, but might the romance come to life once again? Given their healing in Arrow Season 5, it looks like that might be the destination, as Guggenheim teased the following in an interview last month.

“We put them on a very specific trajectory at the end of season 5. It would be very schizophrenic for us to suddenly take them off that trajectory.”

Do you think Oliver and Felicity should get back together? Let us know in the comments below.

9. Dinah Drake’s Black Canary Suits Up And More

In Arrow Season 5, we got introduced to Juliana Harkavy’s Dinah Drake who is keeping the Black Canary legacy alive and Arrow Season 6 will showcase that. A few months ago Warner Bros. TV and The CW revealed Harkavy’s new Black Canary costume as Dinah will officially suit up this year.

But it looks like there will also be some love in Dinah’s life during Arrow Season 6. Mericle revealed that Dinah will be getting a love interest while also making it clear that it won’t be John Diggle.

“I would say yes for that, but I’m not going to tell you with who, because that’s a fun story we’re very excited about. Not Diggle. That’s what’s so much fun.”

10. Villains Will Unite

Given that there are going to be a lot of villains in Arrow Season 6, the show is definitely gearing up to do something different this year. Rather than having just one big bad, you will see some new and old villains coming together as Team Arrow’s new obstacle.

We’ll also see the return of David Nykl as Oliver’s Russian ex-friend Anatoly Knyazev who is in full revenge mode when he pops up in Arrow Season 6. It also seems that each villain that we’ll see in Arrow Season 6 will be matched to someone on Team Arrow.

11. Get Ready For A Big 2-Parter For Deathstroke

One of the fan-favorites of the Arrowverse is Manu Bennett’s Slade Wilson a.k.a. Deathstroke, who went from being Oliver’s mentor to his nemesis. But in Arrow Season 5, we saw the return of Slade where he helped Oliver in taking down Prometheus.

Slade was stuck with the others on Team Arrow when Lian Yu blew up, but the trailers have already revealed that he absolutely survived. Not only will Bennett be back for Arrow Season 6, but we’ll see a big two-parter for the beloved character.

Episode 5 “Deathstroke Returns” and episode 6 “Promises Kept”, which will air sometime in November, will be centered on Slade. The episodes are said to feature flashbacks from Slade’s perspective and will have a lot of Oliver/Slade interaction throughout the two episodes.

12. Joe Wilson, Son Of Deathstroke Is Coming

While we’re on the subject of Deathstroke, guess who is finally coming to Arrow this year? After several mentions throughout the series, Slade’s son Joe Wilson is set to make his live-action debut from the comics where he is also known as the Teen Titans character Jericho.

Liam Hall (Lucifer) will be guest-starring in the two Deathstroke centric episodes as Joe, who has followed his dad’s footsteps and joined the A.S.I.S. When we meet him in Arrow Season 6, he’ll be a captive in a remote Kasnian prison where he is fighting for his life. In addition to that, he is going by the alias Kane Wolfman, which is a nod to Deathstroke creator Marv Wolfman.

13. Expect A Lot Of Black Siren In Arrow Season 6

Arrow Season 5 featured the Earth-2 version of Laurel Lance who made her debut in The Flash Season 2 as the villainous Black Siren. Katie Cassidy will be back for Arrow Season 6 as a series regular and fans should definitely expect to see a lot of her character this year.

Aside from her coming rematches with Dinah Drake, we’ll learn more about her backstory on Earth-2, meaning we could perhaps see flashbacks with her and that universe’s Oliver Queen. Given that Earth-1 believes that Laurel Lance is dead, it will be intriguing to see what happens when this Laurels’ presence really becomes apparent.

In addition to that, it seems that Sara Lance a.k.a. White Canary on Legends of Tomorrow will possibly get to meet her sister’s Earth-2 version. That will certainly be an intriguing reunion of sorts, whenever that is happening.

14. Roy Harper Will Return “Very Soon”

Another Arrow fan-favorite is apparently coming back this year and it’s none other than Colton Haynes’ Roy Harper. The actor recently tweeted a fan, who was tweeting Haynes that they were missing him on the show, and he decided to give that fan a cryptic, but very exciting response.

“Roy’s coming back very soon.”

It remains to be seen if it’s for one or more episodes. Perhaps Haynes has already shot his episode or is getting ready to fly to Vancouver, Canada to shoot an episode. Either way, it will be great to see Arsenal back in some capacity.

15. Producers Are Already Planning Arrow Season 7

Despite the fact that Arrow Season 6 hasn’t even started airing, it appears that the creative team is already working on the show’s seventh year. During the TCA Summer Press Tour, Guggenheim revealed that they’ve some plans for a seventh season.

“We’ve already started talking about ooh, we have a shape for season seven already. This is the earliest we’ve ever had an idea for a season that far ahead, but it’s come out of our conversations about season six.”

Just to be clear, this doesn’t mean that The CW has renewed the series for a seventh season, renewals usually happen in the spring. But it’s great to hear that they already have plans in mind for Arrow Season 7.

Be sure to let us know what you're excited about for the sixth season in the comments below!
