Game of Thrones Season 7: Best Episode, Biggest Payoff & MORE!!

at .

Was that the fastest paced season yet?

Game of Thrones Season 7 moved the action along at an electric pace while giving viewers some huge payoffs after years of watching.

We're looking back on the penultimate season of the smash hit HBO drama as we prepare for the end of the series.

Scroll down as we run down the best and worst of it.

1. Best Death

Viserion dying was heartbreaking to watch, but it was executed so well. It also served to show that Daenerys is not as invincible as she first thought she was. Knowing one of her dragons is gone will likely help her think her decisions through before acting impulsively. We are dreading the day Dany has got to go to war with Viserion. That's going to sting.

2. Most Predictable Moment

Bran finding out the truth about Jon's parents was needed, but it was so god damn predictable. Bran is becoming too powerful and everyone seems to not think much of it.

3. Best Episode

Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 4, "The Spoils of War," was a phenomenal episode that sent Daenerys into war with Drogon. The battle scene was outstanding with a lot of twists and turns. The look on Jaime's face when he heard the dragon was priceless. The cliffhanger was a bit out there, but it closed off an episode that raised the stakes for every single character.

4. Worst Episode

Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 3, "The Queen's Justice," was a solid outing, but it is the worst episode of the season. The main issue was Euron taking Ellaria and the remaining sand snake to King's Landing. Having to listen to him pledge his allegiance to Cersei as he belittled Jaime was cumbersome to watch.

5. Biggest Payoff

Arya killing Littlefinger was a well-executed scene, especially when you consider the emphasis on Sansa and Arya being at odds with each other. Somewhere along the way, they compared notes and realized Littlefinger was the one who should be sent to his death. The scene with Littlefinger thinking Arya was the one in the firing line was delightful. The smug look on his face disappearing was so worth the wait.

6. Most Shocking Moment

The Night King using Viserion to take the wall down was quite the shocker. Everyone wondered what would happen in Game Of Thrones Season 8 to close the series off, but we did not bank on Season 8 ending with the villains through the wall. Oh, and we don't know what happened to Tormund and Beric. Yikes.

7. Most Cringeworthy Scene

Okay, so we watch Game of Thrones to be enthralled by the fascinating characters and locations. So, you can only imagine my surprise when Ed Sheeran appeared. It totally took my mind right off the story and what was going on. Ed is a great singer, but the show needs to cool it with the stunt casting.

8. Best Squad

Jon and his group of men who ventured beyond the wall have got to be the best squad in Westeros. With the very likely possibility that they could all die, they continued on with their mission and encountered polar bears, wights, the Night King and other crazy things.

9. Characters Who Need More Scenes Together

Tormund and The Hound had some of the show's best dialog in a long time. They need more scenes together. We would not be opposed to the idea of a spin-off involving The Hound taking Tormund on a tour of Westeros, showing him the different cultures.

10. Character Who Needs To Die

Cersei Lannister has officially turned on Jaime Lannister, proving there is absolutely nothing she can do to redeem herself and solidifying herself as the ultimate villain. It's time for Jaime to get rid of her to win him some respect in the North.

11. Most Annoying Character

Euron Greyjoy's ego went from 0 to 100 on Game of Thrones Season 7. All he did was parade around Westeros and throw shade at everyone. He made fun of Jaime for having one hand and even made fun of Theon for his lack of testicles. He thinks everyone is laughing with him, but they are actually laughing AT him.

12. Overall Grade

A-. It was a thrilling season that was full of twists and turns, but did it really need to be seven episodes long? For the most part, it seemed rushed, so I would have preferred another handful of episodes to give us time to take in the developments before the next big scene.

13. Hopes For Season 8

A slower pace to allow us to actually say goodbye to the characters. We need to see the big fight between the Night King and the people of Westeros. The whole series has been building up to it, so it had better be worth the wait. On top of that, something is telling me that Daenerys will find out she's pregnant. I hope she lives long enough to meet the child.
