It started on Fox when it was paired with New Girl several years ago, but somewhere along the way, Fox lost faith in it and cancelled it in its prime.

Thankfully, Hulu swooped in and saved the day, gifting fans with three more seasons.

But it's time to bring the show to an end, and Season 6 will serve as the last-ever season of the Mindy Kaling-fronted show.

The just released trailer for the final episodes certainly teases a single Mindy.

That's especially surprising when you consider the fact that she was married at the end of The Mindy Project Season 5.

But if a look is worth a thousand words, it was clear the marriage was not going to last.

Sigh. Poor Mindy.

Now, she's back on the market and wondering where she could go now that she's had multiple failed relationships.

Could Danny Castellano be the man for her?

It was not that long ago the show seemed to be setting them up as the endgame couple, and with the news that Chris Messina is returning for multiple episodes, could Danny Mindy give it one last shot?

We sure hope so, but if Danny thinks it's going to be an easy road to Mindy's heart, he is going to be disappointed.
