TV Ratings Report: America's Got Talent Races To Three-Year High!

at .

When shows go down in the ratings, they usually stay down, but not America's Got Talent.

The veteran reality series secured a solid 14.3 million viewers and a 2.9 rating among adults 18-49.

That is a solid result for summer programming and a rise of 26 percent in the demo.

This represents the show's highest ratings in the demo in three years, and NBC most-watched telecast on Tuesday nights in six years.

Finales are notoriously higher rated, so could the series go higher for tonight's finale? We'll need to stay tuned!

The Paley Center Salutes the Best of Will & Grace held 5.3 million and a 1.2 rating in the 10/9c slot out of America's Got Talent.

The only other original airing on the night was ABC's Somewhere Between, which was actually a solid summer offering, but it failed to catch on with viewers.

It went out with 1.9 million viewers and a 0.4 rating, which happened to be the show's best performance since its premiere earlier this summer.

However, don't expect the show to return with these ratings.

Next week is premiere week, so we will have a lot of ratings data for you!

What do you think of America's Got Talent hitting a three-year high?
