Supergirl: Reign's Eye-Catching Costume Unveiled!

Reign is coming, and the residents of National City should be very afraid.

The CW today unveiled our first look at Odette Annable as the DC villain who has been sent to Earth to do some killing, and we must say, she has a striking resemblance to Katie Cassidy's Black Canary from fellow CW DC TV series, Arrow

Odette Annable as Reign - Supergirl

Annable was added as the big bad of Supergirl Season 3 earlier this year, but her character has been anything but sweet so far.

She first appeared on Supergirl Season 3 Episode 1 as a single mother and seems blissfully unaware of her true destiny to be a world killer.

In her civilian form, Odette plays Samantha, who has been trying to do her best for her daughter despite making some bad decisions in the past.

Greg and I have wanted to work with Odette for years. We are beyond excited to have her join our cast in the scary, powerful and heartbreaking role of Reign,” said executive producer Andrew Kreisberg at the time of the casting.

On tonight's episode of The CW hit, Samantha will question whether her decisions have paved the way for her to let Ruby down after another setback for the mother and daughter.

It's unclear whether this will be the thing that ultimately pushes her towards being a villain, and considering we are a few episodes into the new season, Reign will probably appear sooner rather than later.

Annable has previously appeared on House, Banshee, Astronauts Wives Club, Pure Genius, and many more TV series, but her role on Supergirl is a departure from her usual roles.

Supergirl Quotes

The thing that makes women strong, is that we have the guts to be vulnerable. We have the ability to feel the depths of our emotion, and we know that we will walk through it to the other side.

Beth: You know it's true what they say, behind every great man is a strong woman.
Lena: I wouldn't know, I've never stood behind a man.
