Roseanne is returning to the air in 2018, and two more additions to the cast have been made. 

According to TV Line, Estelle Parsons and Sandra Bernhard have been tapped to appear in the revival series. 

Parsons is set to reprise her role as Roseanne and Jackie's mother, Beverly Harris. Parsons originally appeared in 59 episodes from 1989-1997. 

Her return is said to be for two episodes of the nine-episode revival. Since the series concluded in 1997, Parsons has had appearances in the likes of Grace and Frankie, The Good Wife and Touched by an Angel. 

Bernhard will be reprising her role as Nancy for one episode. She originally appeared on the show from 1991-1997 as Julie's lesbian friend. 

The news comes just days after it was confirmed that The Big Bang Theory star, Johnny Galecki was returning to the role of David for a handful of episodes. 

Executive producer, Whitney Cummings leaked the news to social media when she shared a picture of the artist's studio chair. 

Shameless star Emma Kenney has been added to the cast as Darlene and David's daughter, while newcomer Ames McNamara will take on the role of Mark. 

ABC announced the show's return earlier this year with an eight-episode commitment, but TV Line reported last month that an additional episode had been added, bringing the total to nine. 

NBC has been reaping the benefits of bring Will & Grace back after several years off the air, so ABC will likely be hoping for a similar result with Roseanne.
