It's been just under a year since Grimm wrapped its six-year run on NBC, and it looks like series lead David Giuntoli has found his next big hit.
According to Deadline, Giuntoli has landed a lead role in new ABC drama pilot, A Million Little Things.
The series will follow a group of friends who are struggling to make something of themselves. They are all stuck in a rut.
Things change somewhat when one of them dies, and it serves as a catalyst for them to finally start living their lives before it's too late for them.
Giuntoli will take on the role of Eddie, a musician who becomes a music teacher and stay-at-home dad. His life is not going the way he thought it would.
With his marriage on the rocks, he can't help but wonder how different things would have been for him if he made some different choices.
At first glance, the show sounds like it could be ABC's iteration of This Is Us. It was only a matter of time before the other networks got on the bandwagon.
This Is Us has proven it has staying power in Season 2 and its ratings are reflecting the rave reviews it is garnering from critics and audiences alike.
The script for the pilot was written by DJ Nash, who will executive produce alongside Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor.
In addition to Grimm, Giuntoli has also appeared in Key & Peele, Love Bites, Private Practice and Eli Stone.
