Constantine is here to stay!
According to TV Line, Matt Ryan will appear as a series regular on DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 4.
He will assume the role of Constantine which he first played on NBC's ill-fated series of the same name which aired from 2014-2015.
When NBC swung the ax on the series, fans immediately began lobbying for Matt Ryan to make a permanent move to one of The CW's DC series.
The prayers were answered, and Matt Ryan had an encore as John Constantine during Arrow Season 4, but the live-action version of the character disappeared into the ether after that appearance.
However, fans were glad to learn that Ryan would appear on DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 in multiple episodes.
It sounds like the character has struck a chord with viewers because he will be boarding the Waverider on a more permanent basis if The CW opts to keep the show around for another season.
The series is guaranteed to land a renewal. The current season is averaging 1.6 million viewers and a 0.5 rating in the all-important 18-49 demographic.
There's no way The CW would part with a show pulling in those ratings.
It was previously confirmed that Wentworth Miller was departing the series, while The Flash star Keiynan Lonsdale moved over to the series as a regular.
The beauty of DC's Legends of Tomorrow has always been that the seats on the Waverider are temporary and it gives an organic way to bring new characters in.
