Per Deadline, the former Psych star has landed a lead role on ABC's A Million Little Things pilot

The series focuses on a group of middle-aged friends whose lives are going in circles with no direction. 

Things change when one of them dies, and the others realize that they need to live their best life before their time alive is up.

Roday will take on the role of Gary, who has a knack for sleeping with sleeping with everyone.

Yeah, we're pretty sure his character will decide against sleeping with everyone when he realizes just how much of a rut his life has been in. 

Romany Malco, David Giuntoli, Christina Ochoa, Anne Son and Christina Moses are also part of the talented ensemble for the potential series.

The pilot will be penned by DJ Nash ('Til Death). 

Roday starred on USA Network's Psych for eight seasons and even returned to his role of Shawn Spencer for a TV movie last year.

It's unclear at this stage whether the success of the revival movie will lead to any more episodes of the series on USA Network. 

The ratings for the special event were on par with much of USA Network's other series currently on the air.
