The Blacklist Season 5 Episode 15 Review: Pattie Sue Edwards

at .  Updated at .

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I got a major case of the heebie jeebies during the opening segment of The Blacklist Season 5 Episode 15.

The idea of a stranger infecting the air I breathe with a possible deadly virus is scary as hell, but thankfully the majority of us are sane, so there should be nothing to worry about, right?

And while the story of Pattie Sue Edwards was compelling and heartbreaking all at once, and Red's tax woes were hilarious, all I can do right now is focus on that moment at the very end when Liz recognized Garvey as the guy responsible for Tom's murder!

It's just too bad that Singleton had to die in order for her to finally find out!

A Creative Solution - The Blacklist

It took a lot less time for Liz to find Garvey than I thought it would take. I was expecting the big reveal to happen on the season finale, but considering what we saw in the preview for The Blacklist Season 5 Episode 16, it looks like things are going to get extremely complicated between Liz and Red.

It looks like we're finally going to get back to the mystery of the bones. It's the only reason I can think of as to why Red would even consider brokering a deal with Garvey.

At least that's what it looked like Red was doing.

But I'm going to go back to comments I've made previously about why Red wasn't hunting Garvey down while Liz was in her coma. If the bones were that important to him, wouldn't that be something he would have spent some time doing?

Maybe someone already answered that for me, and I missed it. If so, please refresh my memory because I can't move past the fact that he did nothing for nearly a year to either find the bones or the guy responsible for putting his daughter in a coma.

Red is not the type of guy to just sit around and read poetry for days on end. He'd be seething. He'd want revenge. At the very least he'd do whatever was necessary to find and destroy the bones.

That's what I don't get.

But all of that doesn't really matter anymore now, does it?

Liz knows who Garvey is, and Garvey knows Liz knows who he is.

Now it's going to get interesting. But how stupid is Garvey? He knew that it was the FBI and probably Liz calling his cell phone so killing Singleton was a dumb move on his part -- unless he did it purposely to show Liz who's boss?

Garvey might have been nervous that the noose was tightening but he probably found out every secret Singleton swore to keep before he gutted the guy. Garvey is an arrogant bastard. I can't wait until he gets his.

While Liz was doing her thing with Singleton, Red was busy trying to make deals with the tax man. He thought he had the audit problem taken care of, but some people can't be bought.

It's surprising that Red didn't get everything he wanted right away. The headmaster was one stubborn SOB, but I'm glad he didn't just give in to Red. I like watching Red have to work to get what he wants.

Ressler Calls It In - The Blacklist Season 5 Episode 15

But don't you love that, despite the obstacles, he still takes everything in stride?! He knows things will work out. And they do!!

And how clever was it that Fagen started the fire inside the smoke alarm. I'm glad that he is going to stick around. His character is a lot of fun, and I like the idea of him being on Red's payroll for a little while longer.

I'm sure we're going to see him again real soon. And don't forget about Mr. Raleigh Sinclair III. He's got that guy hiding out for good use at some point, too.

Red's laying out a plan, but is the plan to protect himself or to protect Liz? Or is he preparing to take care of both of them?

I can't wait to see what the season finale is going to bring. I bet it's going to be the best of series. That's just my guess.

Although I got the heebie jeebies thanks to Pattie Sue Edwards, the reason she did what she did was sad. Was there no other way for her to clear her husband's name than endangering so many people?

At least her husband got a proper burial, and she was allowed to see it before being taken away. I liked that Ressler wanted to hear the truth before taking anyone down. In the old days, he would have taken Edwards down without question. The whys wouldn't have mattered, but that Ressler is long gone.

So, over to you guys!

What did you think of "Pattie Sue Edwards"? Are you sad Singleton is dead? What do you think Liz will do now?

What kind of deal will Red make with Garvey? Will he really make a deal with Garvey, or will it be just a ruse?

Would Red really betray Liz after all this time?
