It's 10 pm, do you know where your children are?

We know where the Hilltop's children are: not where they're supposed to be and making stupid decisions!

If The Walking Dead Season 8 Episode 13 taught us one thing, it's that you never leave anyone with homicidal tendencies unsupervised! We know Henry is a troubled young man, but what he did during this episode was one of the dumbest moves I've seen any individual make on this show.

Out of all of the boneheaded moves Carl made over the years (may he rest in peace), he never made such an ill-advised decision like the one Henry made during this episode.

I'll hand it to Henry, the kid has cojones, but no brains whatsoever.

I will not put the entire blame on Henry in this instance, as whoever left the weapon that Henry picked up out in the open like that is just as careless and irresponsible.

Gregory: I'm sorry about your brother, but killing them isn't going to bring him back.
Henry: I know, but it will make me feel better. It already did once.

The kid is a natural born killer. That much was made evident when Henry showed zero hesitation or remorse when killing Gavin on The Walking Dead Season 8 Episode 9. He even said himself that he liked the way it made him feel.

That's a huge red flag right there, and a frightening one at that.

But I can't for the life of me understand why Henry would see it to be a good idea to unlock the gate to the pen, let alone go inside!

The machine gun wouldn't have been any less of a threat by just staying on the outside. Henry carelessly put himself in a position where any one of the 30+ fully grown — and dangerous — men could have easily overpowered him at any given moment.

And lo and behold, that's exactly what happened.

I'm not sure what concerns me more: the fact that the Saviors are out, or that Gregory is on the loose now as well.

Let's face it, the Saviors were bound to get out of that pen at some point. I'm just disappointed with the circumstances surrounding it.

It's interesting that some of the Saviors that didn't flee — including Alden — opted to stay behind to help the Hilltop. I suppose it's not all that surprising considering that Simon labeled them all as expendable just moments earlier.

Your 38 people are alive and breathing. Turn around and leave us be and they stay that way. But if you don't, I have 38 bullets that I will personally fire into all 38.

I've been quite intrigued by Alden ever since his appearance on The Walking Dead Season 8 Episode 2. There's just something about him that makes me want to put my trust in him, and that he could be a decent human being.

Could it all be a ruse? Of course, but I believe Alden's eagerness to help Maggie is genuine.

I've been getting the inclination that Alden might even be a bit smitten with Maggie. I'll go even further to suggest that if he sticks around, I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually develop a relationship.

There are plenty of people who would instantly balk at the idea, as Glenn's death still weighs heavy on many hearts. But Maggie will need to move on and live her life.

Glenn would want her to find happiness again.

Morgan had his own issues to deal with, as Gavin continuously haunted him throughout the hour. That was a representation of Morgan's guilt in allowing Henry to kill Gavin and beginning his journey down a dark path.

Worrying about Henry is the last thing Morgan needs weighing on his conscience right now.

Honestly, I could base this entire review on Henry's poor decision making – it just really irked me. But that would be a disservice to the rest of the episode, which was otherwise a very solid installment.

Maggie and the Hilltop were well prepared considering Simon's relentlessness, and the numerous traps that they sprung on the Saviors were well planned. It is always exciting to see the Saviors being caught off guard.

I didn't expect Rick to show up, which was a really cool moment when he emerged from the smoke and began shooting up some baddies.

After Simon retreated with his tail between his legs, what appeared to be a small victory for Maggie and the Hilltop ended up turning into a nightmare, as everyone that had been nicked by the Savior's infected weapons began to turn overnight.

It was incredibly tense as those that were infected began to reanimate around everyone else while they slept. Even though the Walker tumbling down the stairs was rather humorous during an otherwise suspenseful moment, it was a really bad situation.

It was made even worse by the fact that they needed to leave the doors and windows open due to the generator being offline, granting the walkers easy access to the Hilltop buffet.

It reminded me of the flu outbreak at the prison during The Walking Dead Season 4 - which I still consider one of the series' best seasons.

Unfortunately for Carol, she had to put Tobin down, which was quite heartbreaking. She's always losing people that she cares about. That's another reason for everyone to rethink a Daryl/Carol 'ship.

It was great to see Siddiq finally getting his hands dirty. Carl died believing in Siddiq being important to their future, so it's good that he's starting to earn his keep.

He did come awfully close to accidentally getting his head lopped off by Rick, though.

Tara finally brought up her time with the Governor. While I'm glad it got addressed, it was quite jarring how she suddenly showed some empathy toward Dwight's actions – which is a stark contrast from her stance merely two episodes ago.

Supposedly since Tara was shot by Dwight's arrow, we're being led to believe that she's now infected. But I don't think that to be the case at all. Sure, Dwight shot her, but do we know for sure that Dwight contaminated his arrows?

It likely has more to do with Dwight feigning his loyalty to Simon to protect Rick's people. Simon would have surely killed Tara had Dwight not taken his shot.

Also, considering that after everyone else that was infected had turned over the 12-hour period, Tara was showing zero symptoms. The episode made it a point to help us keep track of the time for a reason.

I also found it interesting that Simon was leading the attack to completely wipe out Hilltop, but it was Negan's original plan of simply infecting a few inhabitants that they ended up with anyway.

The countdown has officially begun, and with three episodes left, I honestly have no idea how this All Out War arc is going to come to a close.

Aside from Henry's infuriating antics, this episode was a terrific follow-up to The Walking Dead Season 8 Episode 12. While I wish we would have checked in on the happenings with Negan and Jadis, I'm content with knowing that scenario will be receiving some special attention in the coming episodes.
