TV Ratings Report: American Idol Has Solid Debut

American Idol (10.3 million/2.3 rating) returned to the air last night on a brand new network: ABC.
While the number is not as astronomical as the show's earlier days, it was enough to give ABC the best demo tally in the slot since 2014.
After that, Deception (6.1 million/1.3 rating) had a decent premiere for the alphabet network.
NBC: Timeless (3 million/0.8 rating) finally returned to the air, and it took a hit.
CBS: NCIS: Los Angeles (8 million/0.9 rating) and Madam Secretary (6.3 million/0.6 rating) each returned from hiatus and lost some steam.
Fox: O.J. Simpson: The Lost Confession? (4.4 million/1.2 rating) turned in a solid result.
