It looks like pairing Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder up for a crossover was a good idea.
How to Get Away with Murder built almost 40 percent in the demo to secure 4.2 million viewers and a 1.1 rating.
That marks the show's highest ratings of the season. Before that, Scandal perked up to 5.1 million viewers and a 1.3 rating.
Opening ABC's night was Grey's Anatomy with 7.5 million viewers and a 2.0 rating.
The CW: Supernatural (1.6 million/0.6 rating) and Arrow (1.2 million/0.4 rating) held steady.
Fox: Gotham (2.6 million/0.8 rating) was steady with the numbers it pulled at the end of 2017, while Showtime at the Apollo (2.5 million/0.6 rating) premiered with mediocre results.
CBS: The Big Bang Theory (13.6 million viewers/2.5 rating), Young Sheldon (12.4 million/2.2 rating), Life in Pieces and S.W.A.T. (5.3 million/0.9 rating) slipped, but Mom (9 million/1.5 rating) was stable.
NBC: Superstore (3.5 million/1.0 rating), Will & Grace (4.1 million/1.1 rating), and A.P. Bio (2.8 million/0.8 rating) slipped, but Chicago Fire (5.6 million1.1 rating) inched up.
