Family Guy Season 16 Episode 15 Review: The Woof of Wall Street

Brian almost became a protein shake on Family Guy Season 16 Episode 15 when he let his new investment career get to his head.
Stewie might have been disappointed that Brian still wanted to invest in Korea after learning it used dog meat in its shakes, but there was no way Stewie was going to let anything happen to his friend.
And even after Stewie saved his ass, Brian didn't understand the lesson to be learned. It had nothing to do with the evils of Wall Street, just like Stewie said. The lesson that went right over Brian's head was how selfish the family dog really is.
He was willing to invest in a company that killed his own kind for profit. It didn't matter to him that the dogs were being treated inhumanely, all he cared about was the money he was going to make.

Brian made a comment about not judging other people's cultures, and we should delve it into that for a minute.
We find it offensive that an animal we look to as a pet is used as a source of food. How can anyone want to eat something as cute as Fido?
Stewie: I can't believe you still want to invest in this. They use dog meat. How can you condone the eating of other dogs?
Brian: Oh, c'mon, Stewie, it's their way. Who are we to judge other cultures?
In other cultures, cows are considered sacred. Yet, here in the U.S., we have no problems chomping down on a juicy steak or burger without a second thought.
But we look at those dogs in those cages with their sad eyes, and we immediately call that industry deplorable. Have you ever seen a cow's eyes?
They're adorable, yet that's not what we see when we dig into our burger or steak because all the dirty work has already been done for us.

That cute cow isn't reflected in that package of beef we picked up at the grocery store.
There aren't warriors posting videos all over social media showing us the horrors of how our meat is made. (I'm sure there are videos but they are minimal compared to all the videos of dogs being saved from meat markets.)
Stewie, adults are allowed to say racist things because of traffic.

So, Brian was right about this one. As much as we try to deny it, it is a matter of perspective and culture. Who are we to judge other people's culture?
Aside from the dog eating controversy, Brian and Stewie had a grand adventure with the monies from their investments. Heading down to the Titanic wreckage to "pants" James Cameron was hilarious.
There's a lot that could be said about him being gutted the way he was, and I have to wonder if this scene was created before or after his moronic Wonder Woman comments.

The best part of the installment was Brian and Stewie dancing to Tom Cochrane's 1991 hit, "Life is a Highway."
How could you not feel good after hearing that song? Forget the Rascal Flatts version. This is the OG, people, and it's golden.
Peter and the guys were just as busy as Stewie and Brian when they took over the Drunken Clam while Jerome was gone to care for his mother.
If Peter wasn't involved, the rest of them (even Cleveland) would be excellent bar owners.
The best of the bunch would be Quagmire mostly because he would be the most fun. I wouldn't mind going to one of his Trivia Nights. I wouldn't even cheat.

It was hilarious watching Joe claim to be a mixologist when the only drink he could put together was rum and Coke. It's like watching someone claim to be a sandwich artist when all they know how to make is peanut butter and jelly.
I didn't quite understand why Peter decided to bring a bull into the bar (other than pure stupidity), but it was awesome that, for a while, anyway, the bull was getting into Cochrane's hit. That song even made the bull feel good until it realized what Peter did to its testicles.
And how could Peter not know who Bruno Mars is? I loved Cleveland's description of the artist.
This might be one of the few times I actually enjoyed Cleveland in an episode of Family Guy.
Cleveland: Peter, that's Bruno Mars.
Peter: Bruno Mars? Who's she?
Cleveland: She's a man. And he's not even black. He's a beautiful, mixed-up tomorrow person.
"The Woof of Wall Street" got us back to the world of Family Guy we know and love. It was funny, offensive and made us think.
