Elijah Mikaelson got a clean slate at the end of The Originals Season 4, but what became of him during the seven-year time jump?
That will be revealed on The Originals Season 5 Episode 3 which will be an Elijah-centric hour to get viewers up to speed with what happened after Marcel wiped his memories.
Did losing the burden of all of his sins give him an even bigger burden in the form of not knowing anything about himself?
The official description for the episode reads:
In the immediate aftermath of having his memory erased by Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) awakens to find himself in the middle of nowhere and without a clue as to who he is.
Unable to control his instinctive vampire ways, Elijah encounters Antoinette (guest star Jaime Murray), a beautiful and free-spirited vampire, who helps him navigate his new life.
However, a run-in with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) threatens to destroy the peace he’s finally found.
There's a good chance Klaus is showing up to try and give him his memories back because his former lover, Hayley is missing.
It's also worth noting that series star, Joseph Morgan directed the episode.
It also looks like we will not be back in New Orleans until The Originals Season 5 Episode 4.
