TV Ratings Report: Did The Originals Hold Up?

The supernatural drama was originally supposed to debut on Friday nights, but it got a last-minute move to Wednesdays, and it has helped the ratings.
The Originals Season 5 Episode 2 secured 1 million viewers and a 0.4 rating among adults 18-49. That puts it right on par with last week.
The series even managed to outrate lead-in, Riverdale in the key 18-34 demographic (0.4 vs. 0.3).
Riverdale Season 2 Episode 19 secured 1.2 million viewers and a 0.4 rating in adults 18-49.
Elsewhere...
Fox: Empire (5.3 million/1.6 rating) and Star (3.8 million/1.2 rating) each inched down.
CBS: Survivor (7.8 million/1.6 rating) was on par with last week, while SEAL Team (6.3 million/0.8 rating) matched a low in the demo.
Meanwhile, Code Black (5.6 million/0.7 rating) returned down from last season's premiere, finale and season average.
It's worth noting that the series was off the air for almost 15 months.
NBC: The Blacklist was the sole original, and it was right on par with its most recent ratings.
ABC: It was two episodes of Alex, Inc (3 million/0.7 rating & 2.5 million/0.6 rating) and one episode of Designated Survivor (3.4 million/0.5 rating). The latter hit a new series low.
