CBS has pulled the trigger on two new multi-camera comedy series for the 2018-2019 season.

The network on Wednesday handed out series orders to Cedric the Entertainer‘s Welcome to the Neighborhood as well as an untitled comedy starring Damon Wayans, Jr.

Cedric the Entertainer's comes from a script written by The Big Bang Theory scribe, Jim Reynolds. It follows “the nicest guy in the Midwest” who uproots his family and moves to a neighborhood in L.A. that is not one of the most desirable ones.

Meanwhile, Damon Wayans Jr. will stay in the world of comedy with a brand new series. It currently has no title, but it centers on a middle-aged couple who start to think about their younger years when a pop star moves in with them.

It's unclear when either series will debut on the network since CBS has yet to unveil its 2018-2019 line-up. The schedule will likely come out around the same time as the network's annual upfront presentation which will take place Wednesday, May 16.
