LA to Vegas has been grounded at Fox.

The network has swung the ax on the comedy series after just one season, TV Fanatic has learned.

Series star Amir Talai took to Twitter on Monday to confirm the series has been canceled.

"I love you so much #LAtoVegas fans," Talai's post begins.

"That's why it breaks my heart to tell you that our show is not coming back. I don't have an explanation for you, but it doesn't actually matter," he continued.

"It's done. I'm gonna miss our #LAtoVegas family so much, and that includes you."

The ratings are likely the biggest factor for the show's premature cancellation. Season 1 averaged 2.3 million viewers and a 0.7 rating among adults 18-49.

The figures were on par with The Mick, which Fox also gave the pink slip.

In a surprising move, the show's fate was left up in the air at Fox's annual Upfronts presentation, but Fox co-chairman Dana Walden confirmed during a press conference that no decision had been made.

We “wanted to make decision if we have place to allow the show to grow,” Walden said, adding that the potential of Season 2 will be revisited when everyone returned to Los Angeles.

“If we can’t find a way to make noise, we won’t do it,” she concluded.

LA to Vegas followed the lives of crew and passengers of a discount airline that made regular weekend flights from, well, LA to Vegas.

There is a lot of change going on at Fox of late. The network revived ABC comedy series, Last Man Standing and is sending it back to Fridays.

Thursday nights in the fall are being given up to Thursday Night Football, meaning the network will have less scripted offerings than usual.
