Supergirl Shake Up: Chris Wood Departs!
Paul Dailly at . Updated at .We already knew that there were changes on the horizon as we head into Supergirl Season 4, what with Jeremy Jordan scaling back his duties on the drama series.
Now, it has been confirmed that Chris Wood is out of the series after two seasons as a series regular.
Supergirl Season 3 Episode 23 found Brainiac 5 returning with Saturn Girl. Initially, it appeared as though the pair were back to help in the battle against Reign.
However, Brainiac 5 went on to reveal that his relative, Brainiac would go on to release a virus to wipe out artificial intelligence and that he would need to return to the future to stop him.
Winn (Jordan) agreed to head off on the mission, potentially gearing up for his Season 4 recurring status.

For Winn, it was a long time coming. He's been struggling to find his place in the world, and saving the world appeared to be the best course of action for him.
“I’ve been searching for my calling. You know, this is it. I’m gonna save the future,” he revealed to James.
Mon-El decided that it was time for himself to step up, so he embarked on the mission with Winn to the future to save the world.
While we know we will see Winn again, Mon-El's tenure with the series has come to an end.

“The plan for Chris was always to have him on the show for two years,” executive producer Robert Rovner told TVLine.
“We’ve loved telling Mon-El’s story, as well as the story we’ve told for him and Kara. We hope the fans felt that it was a satisfying conclusion.”
Mon-El's storyline has been polarizing ever since he first debuted back on Supergirl Season 2. Many fans felt like the show was focusing too much on the character as opposed to the titular heroine.
