Chesapeake Shores Season 3 Episode 8 Review: All Our Tomorrows

at .

Jess is facing challenge after challenge with the B&B on Chesapeake Shores Season 3 Episode 8. But she isn't the only one facing extreme challenges as Trace and Mick discuss options for The Bridge.

Things with the B&B have always seemed to be a struggle for Jess, but things are at their worst as the possibility of termites infesting the house is brought to her attention. I'm not one to tell others to give up, but maybe it's time to let it go.

Jess: Dad I can't lose the inn. I just can't
Mick: It's gonna be okay, sweetheart.
Jess: Dad, I don't think it will this time. Dad, this was me. This was my chance at being the better Jess. This was my chance at being successful, like everyone else in this family. Now, this is me. Messing up again.
Mick: You're not messing up, sweetie-pie. You're not messing up. It's gonna be okay. You're gonna be fine.

That's especially true when the report came back that it was a miracle the house hadn't fallen. I'm left wondering how the hell the damage gets that bad before anyone notices something is wrong.

Mick does his best to step in and help Jess fix things, but this seems like one situation that just doesn't have any type of workaround. The O'Brien clan is usually great at finding solutions, but this time might just be a loss.

Mick and Jess - Chesapeake Shores Season 3 Episode 8

Jess seems to be losing herself right along with the B&B, even attempting to push David away. But David isn't having any of that as he refuses to let Jess push him away. Well done, David!

Abby had every reason to be agitated about Terri requesting her. She comes off as sweet and kind, but there just seems to be more lurking beneath the surface with that one.

Abby: Today I had a meeting with Terri Ingram.
Trace: Why? What's wrong? Was it about Carrie and Caitlyn?
Abby: No. No, um, business. She wants advice, and I'm just having trouble separating Ms. Marvel from Ms. Ingram.
Trace: Yeah. Or Chris from his waffles.
Abby: You know what? It's going to be fine. I'm just going to be professional and do my job.
Trace: Yes, yes, and I am going to try to get Chris to compromise.

There is no reason for she and Abby to be the best of friends. They need to act like adults and get along for the girls, something of which they are both capable. Working together is beyond unnecessary.

Really, it just seems like a way for Terri to try and rub how perfect she thinks she is in Abby's face. That is a ridiculous thing to do anyway considering how much Abby has overcome and how well she is doing.

Finding out that Wes was the one to send Terri to Abby was outrageous. It doesn't matter if he says he only recommended Terri because of Abby's skill and expertise.

Mick put a lot of his own money into The Bridge, and it's understandable that he wants to be sure that investment doesn't go to waste. But whether he likes it or not, Trace does get a say.

On top of that, Trace does have a lot of good ideas, and he does know what he's doing. His hiring of a previous embezzling employee notwithstanding. I understand his frustration with Mick completely and would act the same in his situation.

The tension isn't the right word for what is going on between Kevin and Sarah. Things have moved into a completely awkward and uncomfortable place that is not fun to watch at all.

Kevin plus Sarah - Chesapeake Shores Season 3 Episode 8

My heart is breaking for the two of them and what they are dealing with now. But I'm also sitting by wondering when Sarah is going to leave for good. Because while losing Sarah sucks, there is no way Kevin's loss would be acceptable.

Sarah seems completely on board with giving a long-distance relationship a shot. But I know the odds of it working out are slim. Extremely slim. By the look on Kevin's face, he was thinking along the same lines.

Kevin: So what would happen if you didn't go?
Sarah: To your party? Didn't you just invite me?
Kevin: No, Philly.
Sarah: Wait. I don't understand.
Kevin: What would happen if you just stayed here and worked?
Sarah: But you'd be in New York.
Kevin: No I wouldn't. I could stay.
Sarah: And do what?
Kevin: Look, I don't know okay? I don't care. I just, I don't want to lose you. And it wouldn't be forever. I would eventually get a paramedic job.
Sarah: You can't do that with your career. You're a paramedic and you're going to be a great one. I'm not letting you give that up, not even for a moment.
Kevin: What if I don't want to give you up? Not even for a moment.
Sarah: Listen, we'll find a way to make it work.

Mick was surprisingly helpful in offering Kevin some advice and insight into the possibility of losing Sarah. But no matter what the outcome of the situation is, it isn't going to be good.

Love is fickle for sure, but the feeling that Connor is just walking right back into the second round of heartbreak is unavoidable. Danielle couldn't handle their relationship a few months ago, and it would be hard to believe things had changed in such a short amount of time.

It was hard to be mad at Megan for being upset with Bree's manuscript. Even when I tend to blame Megan for a lot of the issues in the O'Brien family, if not all of them, Bree's book is rough stuff.

Bree - Chesapeake Shores Season 3 Episode 8

Bree has been trying all season to preach and convince everyone around her that the book is not entirely based on herself and the rest of the family. I think it's time she accepted that it is.

All of her emotions and the things she remembers feeling as a kid went into that book. Whether they are right or wrong, what she wrote is how she saw things. It's past time to own up to that.

Bree: Mom?
Megan: You write beautifully, Bree.
Bree: Hey, um. Mom the book isn't about the family. Okay, fine. I didn't intend for it to be.
Megan: If that's how you see me, then you don't know me at all.

It's impressive to see Trace and Abby keep their relationship in such a great place with everything else that is going on around them. They are experts at not letting anything get between them.

Trace and Abby - Chesapeake Shores Season 3 Episode 8

They have come a long way in three years and are a true joy anytime they are on the screen together. They've learned how to lean on each other and not hide things from one another no matter how bad they may be.
