But what does this casting news mean for Davis' series regular role on Paramount Network's Younger?
Good news, that's what!
Deadline has confirmed that the filming schedules for both will not clash, meaning Davis gets to continue as a regular on Younger in addition to this new role.
It's great for fans of Younger because Charles has brought new energy to the series Kelsey's (Hilary Duff) love interest.

As for For The People, it secured a surprise renewal at ABC in May. The drama focuses on a group of workers in the supreme court, taking on cases that push them to their limit.
It currently stars Britt Robertson, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Ben Rappaport, Susannah Flood, Wesam Keesh, Regé-Jean Page, Ben Shenkman, Hope Davis, Vondie Curtis-Hall and Anna Deavere Smith.
For The People Season 1 averaged just 2.5 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in live + same day ratings. The renewal was a surprise given the low ratings.
However, ABC likely renewed it to keep TGIT intact in the spring once How to Get Away with Murder concludes its season.
