Colton Underwood is getting another shot at love...

... on reality TV!

It was announced on Monday morning on Good Morning America that Underwood would be The Bachelor Season 23's leading man, giving him the power to hand out this roses this time.

“One thing I took pride in on both seasons was being true to who I am,” Underwood revealed on GMA just moments after the announcement was made.

“It took all of that to get to where I’m at now and know who I am as a person and know what I want in a life partner.”

Underwood first appeared on The Bachelorette Season 14. That season aired earlier this summer and found Colton engage in a desperate battle for Becca Kufrin's heart.

Despite opening up about all aspects of his life, including revealing that he is a virgin, Becca felt like their romance fizzled out pretty quickly.

He was eliminated in fourth place. But that as just his first chance at love on the small screen.

He went on to appear on Bachelor in Paradise Season 5, but Monday's episode found him calling off his romance with Tia Booth because he didn't see it blossoming in the way he expected it to.

It's not unusual for reality TV relationships not to go the way you think they're going to go.

That probably explains why most of them fall apart when the cameras stop rolling.

After the episode aired, he took to Instagram to air his thoughts on the breakup.

"Thank you for teaching me even more about myself, and most importantly, for your friendship that I know will continue far beyond Paradise," he said, adding:

"Don’t settle for anything less than the world, because that’s what you deserve. Can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you and catch up on life some day, preferably over a hot dog dinner."

He shared the statement alongside the below picture of them on a date on Bachelor in Paradise.

ABC has yet to reveal when The Bachelor Season 23 will premiere, but if previous seasons are to go by, it will be the first week in January.
