13 TV Characters Who Need to Bury the Hatchet

at .  Updated at .

Good conflicts between television characters are always worth tuning in to see, but sometimes the stories just drag out way too long for our tastes.

In some cases, the fights and disagreements between characters don't even make sense and are ones we don't even want to be witness to.

In other cases, the olive branch extending may just be temporary, but we'd rather see it be permanent because, after all, who wants to live their lives in perpetual disagreement?

Here are a few characters we think should bury the hatchet once and for all!

1. Red and Liz - The Blacklist

At the end of The Blacklist Season 5, Liz had (once again) turned on Red. This time it was for a more serious reason -- he's not really Raymond Reddington, but the fact that he's possibly an imposter shouldn't overshadow the fact that the two have been through so much together. She's depended on him more than she probably wants to admit, and for her to team up with Jennifer, a woman she doesn't even know is bothersome. Although we know Liz and Red's new dynamic is the basis of what Season 6 will focus on, we'd rather see these two happy like they were at the beginning of Season 5. Dancing by the pool? We'll take more of that, please!

2. The Riddler and Penguin - Gotham

We hope that when The Riddler is revived by Dr. Strange that the memories he retains of Oswald will be of the good times they had together instead of the nasty stuff that came later. These two are powerhouses who can wreak more havoc together than they can apart. Isabella should be a distant memory in Ed's mind, and while we realize Nygmobblepot may never become a reality, we can always hope!

3. Debbie and Ruth - GLOW

It all started when Debbie found out Ruth was sleeping with her husband. That's a pretty bad thing to do to your best friend, but Ruth realized her mistake and tried to repair her friendship. It's understandable that Debbie wasn't interested, but, as she soon found out, Mark wasn't a keeper anyway. Debbie may never completely get over the betrayal, but she needs to realize that she and Ruth make a great team -- both in and out of the ring.

4. Brian and Quagmire - Family Guy

We have to agree with Quagmire that there are many reasons to hate Brian, but Quagmire needs to realize that he's no saint, either. He needs to get over Brian sleeping with his dad because Brian had no clue. And as far as being a bore, maybe Quagmire could teach Brian a few things and become Brian's mentor. Think of all the fun those two could have if they would set aside their differences and realize they're much more alike than not.

5. Tom and Jerry - Tom and Jerry

These two have had a love/hate relationship for decades that needs to come to an end. Jerry takes great pleasure in tormenting Tom and vice-a-versa, but there are many more benefits when they actually work together like enjoying a bowl of milk or a great, big ham. They'd be better off channeling their efforts to get rid of Spike who is just a big bully anyway.

6. Liv and Major - iZombie

On-again, off-again gets boring after a while which is why these two need to come to terms with their differences and be who they're supposed to be -- a couple. Maybe we'll get our wish as the series heads into its final season.

7. Kevin and Miguel - This is Us

Of the Big Three, Kevin is the one most resistant to Rebecca's marriage to Miguel, but what Kevin doesn't understand is that Miguel isn't trying to take Jack's place. Miguel has the utmost respect for Jack and his memory, and Kevin needs to put his animosity aside and give Miguel the chance he deserves. He makes Rebecca happy, and that should be enough for Kevin.

8. Arya and The Hound - Game of Thrones

Arya can still keep her kill list, but she needs to take The Hound off it because he no longer deserves to be on it. There are bigger fish to fry, and The Hound has shown that he is more of an ally than a foe. If she can forgive her sister for all her wrongs, she should be able to forgive The Hound.

9. Oliver and Diggle - Arrow

Technically, these two already kissed and made up during the Arrow Season 6 finale, but that doesn't mean it's going to last., especially since we know Oliver isn't going to stay in prison forever. If Diggle actually puts on the suit, he may be reluctant to take it off when Oliver finally gets out. Oliver and Diggle need to remember they are better friends than foes, and if they the testosterone aside, they can accomplish so much more as members of the same team.

10. Rick and Daryl - The Walking Dead

It's inevitable that two strong-headed personalities are going to clash at some point. While the tension between Daryl and Rick is at a high point, these two need to realize that they've only lasted as long as they have because it's been a team effort. Their friendship is more important now than ever, especially knowing that Rick's time on this earth is coming to an end.

11. Toby and Michael - The Office

If The Office ever gets a reboot, this is a duo we'd like to see make amends. While their animosity made for many laughs, it was usually just a one-sided barrage of hate from Michael. If Michael actually tried to work with Toby instead of working against him, he might find out that Toby wasn't such a bad guy after all -- and actually might be able to make some changes to the "lame" HR department that would benefit everyone!

12. Gabi and Julie - Days of our Lives

It doesn't matter that Julie's beloved Nick was an abusive jerk to Gabi and actually spent time in prison for what he did. All Julie can focus on is that Gabi shot him, choosing to ignore the fact that it was in self-defense. But ever since, Julie has made it her mission to target Gabi and make her life miserable. Julie needs to get over her hatred of Julie and move on to something new because quite frankly, we've had enough!

13. Old Gods and New Gods - American Gods

Can't we all just get along? Oh, we know the whole premise of American Gods surrounds the fight between the new gods and old gods for the soul of America, but wouldn't it be a lot more fun if these two groups found a way to make it work for the benefit of both sides?
