On The Gifted Season 2 Episode 2, Andy's connection to Lauren could get him killed.
Reeva puts up with no weakness and demands 100 percent loyalty. I don't think Andy and Polaris are capable of that level of devotion, so they're in danger.
We saw on The Gifted Season 2 Episode 1 Reeva has a power that takes down other mutants. She was thisclose to using it on Andy. But Andy's a VonStrucker, so would Reeva's power have worked on him?
I didn't want Andy to die, but I wanted Reeva to try her power on him just to see what would happen. I imagine Andy would've shut her down and put the fear of God in her.
It would've boosted his ego which has taken a nosedive since he left the Underground.
Cocky little Andy is finding out the grass isn't always greener and that maybe he belongs with his sister. I have little doubt Andy will go back to the Underground once he finds out the truth about Reeva.
He might even do it sooner.
Look, I get it. Suppress and repress, it's the Strucker way, but I was raised a fighter.
Caitlin
Polaris told Andy he couldn't show any disloyalty to Reeva, so she knows they're in danger if they do. It's shocking. She has a kid. Why would she put her child in that environment knowing fully well Reeva is dangerous?
Maybe Polaris thinks she is more powerful than Reeva so that she could leave anytime she wants. I don't think she is, and let's assume she's not for a second. Polaris has put her vulnerable child in a deadly situation.
Some could argue the Mutant Underground is also putting Dawn in a possibly deadly situation, and they would be right. Nowhere is safe for a mutant in this world. But, and this is a big but, the Underground would lay their lives on the line for Dawn.
Hellfire wouldn't. The only reason Reeva is putting up with having a baby around is to utilize Polaris' powers. She couldn't give a rat's behind about Dawn and would leave her to die.
Lady, we are out there fighting every day, losing people, while you hide in here like a frickin' Lizard of Oz.

Reeva wants mutants in power. She wants to be in control, and it looks like she'll exterminate anyone in her way. I wouldn't be surprised if her endgame were genocide for humans. Sure, she'll kill mutants who aren't loyal to her, but humans are useless pests.

She has a weakness in her organization already, not including Andy and Polaris, and that's Esme. Time in the Underground got to her a bit, and she's not as hard as her sisters. Esme needs to convince her sisters that Reeva is off the rails by killing everyone. If she can, Reeva will lose.
Maybe Evangeline's contact can help Thunderbird locate Reeva or give him an idea of the extent of Reeva's powers. Evangeline's already convinced they've lost the war.
Dang girl, you don't even know the mutants working with John. No faith.
I wonder how long it will take for someone to notice Reed is developing mutant powers. He's kept it well hidden, but one of these times, he's going to go into one of his Jekyll/Hyde episodes, and someone's going to be there.
The truth is there's not enough justice in the world for Grace and if I don't let go of the past I'm gonna lose my future too. You didn't just lose your daughter on 7/15, you lost your husband too. I see that now.

Why is he trying to hide it? He's also a VonStrucker, so he has to know his powers are going to be huge. The Underground needs a big win right now, and Reed's melty fire superpowers in VonStrucker style might be what they need.
Who's to say he couldn't pair up with Lauren and be unbeatable, even against Andy?
I would hate to see a fight between Lauren, Andy, and Reed, but let's be real. They're on different sides whether Andy's having second thoughts or not.
Let's jump to Reed and Caitlin for a minute. I don't get the drama. Caitlin's upset that Andy is gone, but so are Reed and Lauren. Why she would suggest Reed would be more upset if Lauren left instead of Andy, I'll never know.
It was a cheap shot. All Reed was saying was that Andy left of his own free will. And he did. Caitlin thinks because she's his mother, she can convince Andy to come back. She thinks she has that power. Granted, moms are influential, but Andy was crystal clear when he left.
Fifteen-year-old kids are rarely sure of what they want. Even 15-year-old powerful mutants. Maybe especially them.
To suggest Reed loves Lauren more than Andy was unfair and served no purpose. It's not in Caitlin's character to be cruel, so there's no reason to start now.
That said, if the Underground were to find Hellfire, they could lure Andy and Polaris back. They're both stubborn, but they're not stupid.
Andy and Polaris need to smarten up and take down Reeva while they can before they go head to head with the Underground.

If it comes down to it, Andy won't hurt his family, and neither will Polaris, so what are they doing? I think they're realizing they've made a mistake, and now they don't know how to get out of it.
Andy's testosterone has evened out, and Polaris is in mommy mode. Neither one of them has their head in the game. They miss their families. It's time for them to admit it, and go home.
Better idea.
They work for the Underground from inside Hellfire. Yeah, let's go with that.
