Veronica is tired of sitting around and waiting for Archie to be freed from juvie. The entrepreneurial socialite is taking matters into her own hands on Riverdale Season 3 Episode 5.

She loves Archie, there is no denying that. Knowing that he is suffering at the hands of Hiram and the warden is tearing her up inside. Something needs to be done to help him. (#HotDadsofRiverdale, where are you?!)

Though, the time for action might have finally arrived.

Based on the promo for "Chapter Forty: The Great Escape," a blonde wig-wearing Veronica has reunited with her lost love behind bars.

In the final few seconds, we see Archie basked in light and turning around (he's shirtless, of course) to meet eyes with Veronica. He looks surprised to see her, and her words are trembling with concern.

How did she get in? Was his life in danger before she arrived?

That's the big question left looming from Veronica's voiceover. From the clip of him and the other fighters desperately running away, she might have arrived in the nick of time.

Betty's worry for Jughead has just started and it could get more complicated.

By the end of Riverdale Season 3 Episode 4, Jughead became fully obsessed with Gryphons and Gargoyles. He reached Level 3 during his games with the Southside Serpents, and he was searching for clues to help him ascend further.

Ben uttered those same words before he took flight, so you can understand our fear hearing that thinking.

Jughead says that playing the game helps him notice more patterns, but it's seriously playing with his head. Will he suffer the same fate as Ben/Dilton/Ethel or will Betty save him in time?

Elsewhere in the promo, there's a quick clip of Cheryl dusting off her archery skills, Kevin lighting a wick (a bomb?), and Joaquin kissing Archie in juvie.

Things are about to get explosive!
