Mrs. Winslow is said to strike a bond with Serena Joy (Yvonne Strahovski) and will become a source of inspiration for her.

The latest casting news comes months after it was announced that The Handmaid's Tale Season 2 scene-stealer Bradley Whitford landed a promotion to series regular.

Whitford appeared in two episodes of the series in early 2018 as the resourceful Commander Lawrence.

While little was known about the character when he first showed up aside from the fact he helped create Gilead, he quickly struck a chord with viewers when he started to help the handmaids.

The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3 is “driven by June’s resistance to the dystopian regime of Gilead and her struggle to strike back against overwhelming odds,” according to the official logline.

“Startling reunions, betrayals and a journey to the terrifying heart of Gilead force all characters to take a stand, guided by one defiant prayer: ‘Blessed be the fight.'”

Meloni is probably most well-known for his stint on Law & Order: SVU. He currently leads the cast of Syfy's Happy.

Elizabeth Reaser Attends InStyle Event

As for Reaser won a lot of praise for her role on Netflix's hit series, The Haunting of Hill House.

It was the show everybody was talking about at the end of 2018, and for good reason.

There's still no premiere date for The Handmaid's Tale Season 3, but given that the first two seasons launched in April 2017 and April 2018 respectively, we could be looking at an April 2019 premiere.

The Handmaid's Tale Quotes

A priest, a doctor, a gay man. I think I heard that joke once. This wasn't the punchline.

Offred

A window with white curtains. The glass is shatterproof, but it isn't running away that they're afraid of. A Handmaid wouldn't get far. It's those other escapes, the ones you can open in yourself given a cutting edge or a twisted shape and a chandelier. It's harder on Ceremony Day, but thinking can hurt your chances. My name is Offred. I had another name, but it's forbidden now. So many things are forbidden now.
