Life In Pieces Gets Season 4 Premiere Date at CBS

at .

It's been a long nine months since Life in Pieces was last on the air.

Thankfully, CBS has finally revealed a premiere date for Life in Pieces Season 4, and there's not long left to wait.

It will get underway on April 18, with a two-episode premiere, before settling into the 9:30 PM slot from April 25.

It is replacing Fam which will finish out its first and likely only season.

Life in Pieces is a comedy about one big happy family and their sometimes awkward, often hilarious and ultimately beautiful milestone moments as told by its various members.

As the family’s lives unfold in four short stories each week, they try to savor these little pieces of time that flash by but stay with you forever, because these moments add up to what life’s all about.

It stars Dianne Wiest, James Brolin, Zoe Lister-Jones, Colin Hanks, Angelique Cabral, Thomas Sadoski, Betsy Brandt, Dan Bakkedahl, Niall Cunningham, Holly J. Barrett, Giselle Eisenberg, and Hunter King.

Justin Adler, Aaron Kaplan, Jeff Morton, and Barbie Adler are executive producers for 20th Century Fox Television in association with Kapital Entertainment.

CBS notes in a press release that the show was "the most-watched program in its 9:30 PM time period on CBS’ dominant Thursday last season, and ranks as one of the top 10 comedies on broadcast television."

With 6.4 million total viewers and a 1.1 rating in live plus same day metrics, Life in Pieces Season 3 was a solid performer.

It's still bizarre that CBS opted to wait this long to bring the series back, and time will tell whether the lengthy hiatus has killed the momentum.

What are your thoughts on the premiere date?

Will you watch, or has that ship sailed given the long hiatus?
