Luke Perry has suffered a massive stroke at his home on Wednesday morning, according to TMZ.
Per the report, the Riverdale actor is in hospital, but his condition is unknown.
Perry has appeared on Riverdale as Fred Andrews since its 2017 debut.
However, he is best known for his role on Fox's Beverly Hills, 90210 which aired from 1990-2000.
In a twist of fate, Fox unveiled its decision to revive Beverly Hills, 90210 with a summer run the same day the actor's medical emergency is reported to have occurred.
Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestly, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling, and Gabrielle Carteris are the stars slated to return.
While not being part of the official cast due to his Riverdale commitments, Spelling recently dished that Perry would appear in as many episodes as he could.
The revival news was swirling for months, but Perry and Shannen Doherty's names were missing, and many reports are saying that Doherty will definitely not be staging a comeback.
As for what the new iteration of the series is about?
Allow the official synopsis to fill in the blanks:
Having gone their separate ways since the original series ended 19 years ago, Jason, Jennie, Ian, Gabrielle, Brian and Tori reunite when one of them suggests it’s time to get a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot up and running.
But getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself. What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast – whom the whole world watched grow up together – attempts to continue from where they left off?
Perry has also appeared on Criminal Minds, Major Crimes, Community, Body of Proof and Will & Grace.
We'll keep you up to date on new developments in this developing story.
