Magnum P.I. Season 1 Episode 15 Review: Day The Past Came Back

There was plenty of action but many unanswered questions on Magnum P.I. Season 1 Episode 15.
Magnum's ex arrived on the Big Island to make a claim on the mysterious gold, but she disappeared as quickly as she appeared.
How Hannah was able to escape off a highway without a trace is anyone's guess, but the story is far from over.
I don't remember all of the details about the gold from the boat that ended up being responsible for Nuzzo's death, but there was a lot more gold left in the ship than was previously thought.

Hannah's wanted the gold but wasn't willing to kill Magnum or Higgins to get it. It was odd that she send armed men after them only to let them go with a warning to back off.
She knew Higgins was dangerous (the only woman to infiltrate Russian police!)
She also knew Magnum wouldn't let the matter go, especially since Nuzzo was killed over the gold, so there has to be some other reason she didn't take them prisoner or kill them.
There could be a larger conspiracy at hand that she's trying to unravel, but it's hard to believe. If there was, wouldn't she have told Magnum?

Instead, she didn't give Magnum any solid answers and even shot him in order to escape after she crashed the truck.
Hannah was a former CIA Agent who, as we learned from Magnum's flashbacks, supposedly betrayed Magnum, TC, Rick, and Nuzzo when they were captured during the war.
It crushed Magnum at the time to see the love of his life take money from the enemy and do nothing to save him and his team, and it doesn't seem that he's over the hurt.
TC seems to think he's still in love with Hannah. It could be the reason why Magnum didn't act to take Hannah down after she ambushed him and Higgins. Sure, he was outgunned, but he didn't even try.
And it had nothing to do with protecting Higgins. She could have taken care of herself.
The only logical reason why Magnum didn't go after Hannah was that he wanted answers. He wanted to know why she betrayed them. He's been haunted by what he saw ever since it happened.

And he hadn't seen Hannah since that day so it makes sense that he was seeking some kind of closure.
Higgins wasn't embarrassed to want to learn more about Magnum's former love. While I appreciate her need to know as a friend, there might have been other reasons.
I've been a big cheerleader for a Higgins/Magnum romance, but I didn't like that Higgins showed a hint of jealousy when Hannah showed up.
It even started before and I felt like she was just asking questions because she wanted to know more about her possible competition.
If there's going to be a romance between them, it needs to happen in a more natural way. What the hell does Higgins have to be jealous about?
It was sweet that she cleared the hospital room so she could apologize to Magnum for being mean to him, but I'm not liking that she's caving into her feelings so quickly.
I'd rather see Magnum doing the chasing. Higgins is wearing her heart on her sleeve right now, and it's not a good look.
I seriously thought when TC asked Rick what was on his mind at the hospital that Rick was going to say something about the obvious attraction between Higgins and Magnum, but he didn't.
He was just concerned about Hannah's return and rightfully so. It was bothersome not only because of the effect it was having on Magnum but also because it brought back the wounds they all felt from her betrayal.
Now that they know there's a connection between her and Nuzzo's death, they are all going to want answers sooner rather than later.
They're going to have to tread carefully, though. Hannah is a badass, and I wish we could have seen her and Higgins go at it, but that's a confrontation that may come in time.
Jordana Brewster guest starring as Hannah was a treat! I haven't seen her since I stopped watching Lethal Weapon.
She didn't disappoint even if she played a character who was the complete opposite of the kindhearted Dr. Cahill.
We definitely haven't seen the last of her. Hannah's story is incomplete, and I hope that can find out exactly how she escaped off that highway because that was mind-boggling!
