TV Ratings Report: The Rookie Goes Low
Paul Dailly at .The Rookie is not the hit ABC was looking for.
The freshman drama starring Nathan Fillion returned to the air on Tuesday night and slipped to a new series low.
With a 0.6 rating in the demo, it could only settle for last place in the 10 PM slot.
The show also hit a new low in total viewers with 3.6 million viewers tuning in.
Fillion has a lot of support at ABC, but the chances of this show scoring a sophomore run are diminishing by the weeks.
Elsewhere on ABC, American Housewife (4.3 million/0.9 rating) gained a tenth, The Kids Are Alright (3.2 million/0.7 rating) lost one, while Blackish (3.1 million/0.8 rating) and Splitting Up Together (2.6 million/0.6 rating) were steady.
Over on CBS, there was no Ziva boost in the demo for NCIS (13.2 million/1.3 rating) which was right on par with its most recent results. In total viewers, the show built to a season high.
NCIS: New Orleans (7.2 million/0.8 rating) was also steady.
FBI (9.4 million/1.0 rating) was up two-tenths vs. its last original.
Lethal Weapon (3.2 million/0.7 rating) and The Gifted (1.6 million/0.5 rating) were steady with their most recent originals.
Over on NBC, This Is Us (7.3 million/1.7 rating) went low, while Ellen's Game of Games (6 million/1.5 rating) and New Amsterdam (5.8 million/1.0 rating) were right on par with their recent ratings.
The Flash (1.7 million/0.6 rating) and Roswell (1.1 million/0.3 rating), New Mexico were each down a tenth.
