Pauley Perrette is possibly returning to the small screen!
It was announced yesterday that the former NCIS star was returning to CBS after landing a role in one of the network's comedy pilots.
Yes, Perrette is leaving the world of drama behind in favor of comedy, and we are very intrigued.
The project focuses on a filthy rich trust fund baby (Camil) who gets cut off by his father, forcing him and his wife to move in with her estranged sister and share her home.
It's a convincing hook for a series, right?
Perrette is on board to play the estranged sister Jackie, a tough single mom who is going through a difficult time of her own.
As the manager of a bar, she is well-equipped to deal with any issues that get in her way.
One of those issues her sister, who she has had a fraught relationship with for several years.
Jackie will need to put her own beliefs aside with the aim of creating a family environment.
It sounds like a series that could be filled with humor if executed correctly.
Perrette took to Twitter to give fans their first look at the show.
“Coming soon... me and @jaimecamil :) love love love!!!!” she captioned a photo of herself and Camil.
Camil wasted no time in responding to Perrette's casting, and he was super excited.
“Having your talent, personality and beautiful soul in the show makes us sooo happy. Thank you for saying yes to this adventure.”
What are your thoughts on this potential series?
