Fans of Luke Perry were left stunned and saddened by the sudden death of the actor on Monday.

His fans, friends, and people who have worked with him have been lighting up the internet with their thoughts on the passing of one of the best actors to grace the small screen.

Perry's on-screen son on Riverdale, K.J. Apa, took to Instagram on Thursday to pay respects to him.

He shared the below image.

"Rest in Love bro," Apa captioned the photo.

Apa's co-star, Skeet Ulrich, who plays FP Jones on The CW hit commented on Apa's post with a statement of his own.

“Never forgotten… always with us,” he wrote.

Mark Consuelos, Jordan Connor, Casey Cott, and Marisol Nichols followed suit and commented with red heart emojis.

Camila Mendes, who plays Veronica Lodge on the series also broke her silence on Thursday, sharing the below photo.

She shared the following statement alongside the photo:

he took care of us all. an authentic man who took pleasure in offering us his guidance and wisdom. his presence was healing; he had the ability to make you feel comfortable and at ease within seconds of seeing him.

i will never forget the collective shock and distress we experienced when the news broke on set.

we lost a dear friend. my heart hurts for his family and anybody who had the pleasure of knowing him. rest in peace, luke.

although you’re no longer around to wrap me in the warmth of your hug, i can still remember what it felt like. whenever i think of you, i will remember that feeling.

Riverdale aired as normal on Wednesday, and the conclusion of the episode featured a tribute to the late actor.

“In Memoriam Luke Perry 1966-2019” the text read.

It's unclear how the show will address Perry's death given that production on Riverdale Season 3 was not completed prior to his passing.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the showrunner of Riverdale confirmed that the rest of the show's run will be dedicated to Perry.

He shared the below photo.

"Going through pictures on my way to set," he alongside the photo on Instagram.

"From the early days. With Luke in the middle. Our heart, always."

"Tonight’s episode of #Riverdale finds Fred doing what he does best--helping Archie. It is dedicated to Luke, as all episodes will be for the rest of our run. ❤️"
