Blindspot Pulled From NBC Schedule

Blindspot's future beyond its fourth season has yet to be decided at NBC, but the latest twist in the tale may be the final nail in the coffin for the struggling drama. 

The network has decided to bench the series for May sweeps, with The Blacklist slated to move into the 8/7c time period from tonight. 

It's bizarre that NBC would make this decision with just three episodes of Blindspot Season 4 remaining. 

But it sounds like the network is cutting Blindspot loose for a while to try and find out how the night fares without it.

Blindspot Season 4 is averaging 2.8 million viewers and a 0.5 rating among adults 18-49. 

The series has held relatively steady throughout the current season, but it is down on year-to-year by 20 percent. 

Blindspot's Friday companion has already been renewed for next season, so the news does not seem to be good for Blindspot.
