Simon's acting skills are put to the ultimate test on Shadowhunters Season 3 Episode 17.
With his life on the line, Simon and Isabelle try to complete their mission and get Simon back in one piece.
Be warned, we have some light teases in store for you below, but who doesn't love a tease or too?
And don't forget that if you're behind on the latest season, you can watch Shadowhunters online right here at TV Fanatic.
As of Shadowhunters Season 3 Episode 16, Clary isn't any closer to finding a way to break the connection between her and Jonathan. If anything, she's actually gotten further away.
If even Lilith, who put the rune on Clary in the first place, couldn't take it off it could very well be stuck on her for good.
Not only does the rune bring out a darker side of Clary, but since the Clave wants Jonathan dead, it's also a threat to her life.
Thinking she's figured out a way to get rid of Clary's twinning rune, Isabelle turns to Simon for help.
Naturally, Simon would do anything to save his best friend, so he immediately heads to the Institute with Izzy.
With Alec's assistance, Isabelle and Simon make a plan to send Simon into a secret facility under a fake name and hopefully gain access to Glorious, which could be the solution to Clary's current predicament.
However, it's much easier said than done. While getting Simon in, isn't a problem, getting him out is a whole different story.
Luckily, Simon sees an old face during his time undercover and has more than one ally on the inside. But things aren't as simple as he and Isabelle hoped, and Simon realizes he may have gotten himself into a life or death situation.
Isabelle becomes increasingly worried about Simon after realizing how much danger she may have put him in. She turns to Aline for help, and the two team up to try and figure out what's really going on.
Isabelle and Aline make an amazing duo. Although it took some convincing to get Aline to help, Aline's heart is always in the right place and she will always be on the side of justice.
Watching them team up is both enjoyable and badass, and they share some of the best scenes in the episode.
And then there's the Jonathan side of things.
Clary is the only person Jonathan will agree to talk to, and on Shadowhunters Season 3 Episode 17 you really find out why Clary is so important to him.
Jonathan's obsession with her goes deeper than just blood relation, and the audience gets to experience what really made him the person he is today. It looks like his demon blood is only part of the problem.
Clary has to handle a lot again this episode, but what else is new?
As much as she hates Jonathan, he is her brother and he does truly love her in his own twisted way. She can't help but feel partially responsible for how he turned out, and even a bit guilty about everything he's been through.
Clary has always been one to show kindness and compassion, even to those who don't deserve it. So watching her own brother struggle, no matter what he's done, isn't easy for her.
On Shadowhunters Season 3 Episode 16, Alec asked Maryse for the family ring and told her that he's planning to propose to Magnus.
After almost losing him, Alec realized how short life can be. Especially when you're not immortal.
It's incredibly adorable how much thought and effort Alec puts into the whole endeavor. He wants everything to be perfect and is noticeably nervous about his big dinner with Magnus throughout the entire episode.
Losing his magic has taken a bigger toll on Magnus than anyone could have expected, but as usual, Alec is there to help him every step of the way.
The final scene is going to make you feel things, but we're going to have to keep you in suspense about what exactly you'll be feeling. Either way, just have a box of tissues handy.
