CBS Renews Bull, Madam Secretary, MacGyver and More!

CBS doled out a lot of good news on Thursday.

Bull (for Season 4), Hawaii Five-0 (for Season 10), Seal Team (for Season 3), S.W.A.T. (for Season 3), Madam Secretary (for Season 6), and MacGyver (for Season 4) have all been renewed for the 2019-20 season.

While most of these series were slam dunks to snag renewals, the question mark was Bull when allegations of misconduct towards Eliza Dushku came to light.

It was later revealed that Dushku had reached a $9.5 million settlement with CBS.

Bull Season 3 is currently averaging 6.7 million total viewers and a 0.8 rating in live + same day metrics.

It does command strong gains in delayed viewing.

Bull is the head of one of the most prolific trial-consulting firms of all time. Brilliant, brash and charming, Dr. Bull is the ultimate puppet master as he combines psychology, human intuition and high-tech data to learn what makes jurors, attorneys, witnesses and the accused tick.

Hawaii Five-0 remains a solid option for CBS on Fridays, with the current season averaging 7.3 million viewers and a 0.8 rating.

Hawaii Five-0 is a contemporary take on the classic series about an elite federalized task force whose mission is to wipe out the crime that washes up on the islands’ sun-drenched beaches.

Fellow Friday companion, MacGyver has also been holding up well this season, and it's no surprise all three Friday dramas will be back.

MacGyver is an action-adventure drama about 20-something Angus “Mac” MacGyver, who creates a clandestine organization within the U.S. government, where he uses his extraordinary talent for unconventional problem-solving and his vast scientific knowledge to save lives.

It's unclear at this stage whether the current Friday line-up will remain intact, but it's hard to imagine CBS messing with something that is not broken.

Feeling the Pressure - Madam Secretary Season 5 Episode 20

Sunday night drama, Madam Secretary has tailed off in the ratings this season, but the show does have strong reviews.

Madam Secretary follows shrewd, determined Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord, who drives international diplomacy and circumvents protocol as she negotiates global and domestic issues, both at the White House and at home.

Seal Team is also on the downside, but it has been holding up well in the 10/9c slot.

Seal Team is a military drama that follows the professional and personal lives of the most elite unit of Navy SEALs as they train for, plan and execute the most dangerous missions that our country can ask of them.

Finally, Thursday night drama, S.W.A.T. has also been turning in decent ratings for the Eye Network.

S.W.A.T. tells the story of a locally born-and-raised sergeant tasked with running a specialized tactical unit that is the last stop in law enforcement in Los Angeles.
