PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 7 Review: Dead Week

at .

At the end of every episode, PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 leaves its audience scratching their heads in confusion.

Did PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 7 finally answer the question viewers have been asking all season long?

Every time a suspect gets crossed off the list, a new one gets added, and the stakes get raised even higher than before.

Meet Up - PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 7

Mona's brain never ceases to amaze the audience.

Viewers are so used to her being a genius, that it's often overlooked how intelligent she is.

Mona singlehandedly managed to use Taylor's Beacon Guard system to track the patterns of the person that has access to Nolan's key card.

G-A-I-T. Gait. That means we can identify fake Nolan by matching his or her walking patterns.

Mona

It may have led her to Dana Booker, but it feels just a little too obvious that she's the one behind everything that's happened.

It's more likely that she's using scare tactics to get the liars to come forward and admit that they killed Nolan.

But considering that they're innocent on that front, it's not going to get her anywhere.

There's no way that Dana's story about a random teenager hitting Caitlin with their car checks out.

A teenager out for a joy ride thought he hit a deer. He turned himself in when he heard you were in the hospital.

Dana

It was miraculous how badly Caitlin should have gotten injured, yet she managed to be back with no injuries in one episode. But as unrealistic as it may be, the plot does need to continue on.

Preparation - PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 7

Did Dana hit Caitlin? Unlikely. However, it's possible she's covering something up or knows more than she's letting on.

When it comes to Alison's relationship with Taylor, there seems to be some suspicious activity there as well.

Viewers haven't known Taylor long enough to trust her, but we want to because of her connection with Alison and their similar backstory.

Mona isn't too fond of Taylor, and for good reason. She's been on both sides of the game, so her instincts usually lead her in the right direction.

Want One? - PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 7

If we had to bet on anyone cracking this case, it would be Mona, no question.

Until we know more, we have to be careful.

Mona

And then there's Andrew's dilemma and his desperation to pass his class at all costs.

Now that his shoulder's out of commission, there's no way for him to complete his final music project.

We did expect him to fight his professor on it, but we didn't expect him to go as far as plagiarism.

New Normal - PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 7

There's no way his actions are going to go unnoticed, and when his plagerized song plays at the end of PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 7 with Dana Booker staring daggers in his direction, he makes the conclusion that she knows what he did.

But then again, does she?

How is Dana this tuned in to everything that the liars do?

Whoever is pulling all of this off is channeling their inner "A" and has to have access to the right tools to listen in on everyone and track their every move.

Could that have been why Taylor was using her Beacon Guard? It's definitely possible.

Plotting - PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 7

Despite what Dylan had done to his boyfriend, we were happy that Andrew took him back.

There's an endless amount of chemistry between them and it's clear how much they love each other.

But Andrew moving back in came with a condition. Both Andrew and Dylan have to be fully honest with each other from here on out.

Andrew: So from now on, we're totally honest with each other.
Dylan: No more secrets.

Considering that Dylan has kept Andrew in the dark about everything just far and didn't tell him about his plagiarized piece, he's already broken that rule. Will the lies come between them again?

Game Plan - PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 7

Stray thoughts:

  • Mason is Mona's anonymous chess opponent and that's great. But considering how into each other they were online, hopefully nothing romantic comes from it.
  • We could totally get on board with a romance between Zach and Ava. Their relationship might have started rocky, but they've paved the way for some great development.
  • Does anyone else think Caitlin shouldn't get the internship? Her do-over may not officially count, but it will definetly play into things.
  • Jeremy still seems to good to be true. We've got our eyes on him.
