1. Best Meredith Moment - Making Amends With Her Father

Meredith and Thatcher always had a shoddy relationship, and she fell out of touch with her father for years. Initially, it seemed as though the show could carry on with Meredith being estranged from a man who caused her so much pain and heartbreak, but upon finding out he was dying, she finally worked up the nerve to go see him.

What transpired were beautiful moments where both aired out their grievances, exchanged some apologies and expressed themselves, and Meredith held her father while he died. It was one of those times when Meredith's growth and journey were on display as she could speak to her father as a mother and be open to making things right.

2. Most Powerful Episode - Silent All the Years

Grey's Anatomy Season 15 Episode 19 is one for the history books. It was a powerful, emotional, gripping hour and easily one of the best of the series. It was an exploration of sexual violence, domestic abuse, and violence against women while also being a celebration and ode to womanhood, resilience, and solidarity. The Wall of Women scene was stirring and one in which people still cannot stop talking about.

3. Worst Episode - Girlfriend in a Coma

The episode did some weird time jumps which we followed through the course of a woman being in a coma during multiple holiday seasons. DeLuca was a world-class, entitled jackass to Link in a way so grotesque he was the most unattractive he has ever been in the series' history. He was childish and throwing temper tantrums with Meredith. Meredith jerked both the guys around for months.

Then she made plans on Valentine's Day with Link and left him at a restaurant alone and waiting while she made out with DeLuca on the rooftop. Miranda and Ben were still on the world's stupidest sabattical from a marriage, and we found out Betty had been lying for all of this time. Honestly, most of the characters were unlikable the entire episode and the sequence was weird.

4. Episode that Didn't Live Up to the Hype - The Record - Breaking Hour!

Grey's Anatomy Season 15 Episode 15 was the episode that made it the longest-running primetime medical drama on the air. It officially beat out ER with its 332nd episode. Fans were thrilled to see what this hour would entail, and it was mostly a mystery with a promo which only teased some of the series' most memorable lines over the years. But it was fairly lackluster compared to what most fans imagined. They were too on the nose with a celebration, and it didn't have enough nods to the series.

5. MVP of the Season - Amelia

Amelia was the best character this season; it was her season to shine, and she did. Caterina Scorsone gave exceptional performance after exceptional performance. Throughout the season, Amelia's character growth was front, center, and moving beyond words. Her scene discussing her sobriety at an AA meeting was one of the best of the season, and so was her breakdown during the opioid episode.

The way she took to motherhood with her relationship with Betty, and later with Leo, was moving. She exuded such maturity and growth in how she chose to resolve issues or extricated herself from her messy relationship with Owen, or how she never took things out on Teddy or chose to not jump into something serious with Link after discussing things with him. No doubt, Amelia was the best character this season and the most enjoyable to watch.

6. Best Glow- Up - DeLuca

While he displayed some less than appealing traits during his dogged pursuit of Meredith, after a couple of years of praying to the powers that be for him to get a worthy storyline he deserved, they answered my prayers. While a romance with Meredith wasn't exactly what I had in mind, I still appreciate that DeLuca finally got the glow-up he deserved.

He was fleshed out better to serve as the new romantic lead -- with background about his life. He became the most prized resident, which was a nice throwback to how skilled he was upon his arrival. He became a more confident, sexier, badass version of himself. For us longtime DeLuca fans, it paid off!

7. Best Alex Arc - Chief Alex

It wasn't perfect, but Alex navigating the new role as chief of the hospital was refreshing for many reasons. For one, it highlighted how far he has come from Evil Spawn to a man capable of running the hospital. He has grown so much over the years, and Alex in this role of leadership showcased that growth. He also had an interesting way of doing things much different than his predecessors that made his run entertaining.

8. Best Meredith Arc - Meredith Dating

Meredith jumping into the dating pool due to matchmaker Cece's insistence was entertaining, and the only bad thing about it was that it ended too soon. It would have been so much better if the first half of the season was devoted to Meredith dating multiple men and having unusual experiences like that with John instead of jumping into a love triangle. Meredith was happy and having fun, and it was nice to see her that way.

9. Weakest Character Development - Nico

Outside of being in a mostly adorable 'ship with Levi, we know little about Nico as an individual. He had no real development outside of the final couple of episodes where he botched surgery and lashed out. His primary purpose was to bolster Levi's storyline. It was unfortunate that he ended the season every bit as underdeveloped as he started the season.

10. Best Richard Moment - Smashing Up the Bar

While Richard mostly played a supportive role to everyone else's storylines, his best and most powerful moment of the season was when he smashed up the bar giving people free shots in exchange for their sobriety chips. While his arc wasn't as prominent as many of the others, the focus on his sobriety and that of his friends and acquaintances were profound, and the release during that scene was not only cathartic but an example of James Pickens Jr. at his best.

11. Favorite Patient - Cece

Cece was so pure and sweet. She was a ball of joy and kind, and following her journey was one of the highlights of the first half of the season. It made it all the more devastating when she passed away. She brightened the lives of all those around her, and the relationship between her and Meredith was beyond adorable. Plus, she was the one who encouraged Meredith to find love again.

12. Use Her or Cut Her - Carina

Carina is just sort of there. More often than not it's easy to forget she's still in town and working at the hospital until she randomly pops up again. What's her position? Did she take over as OBGYN now? She's such an afterthought no one even bothered to tell her that her brother is in jail for insurance fraud. Carina needs to either be incorporated into the series more or better, or she needs to head back to Italy where someone or someplace may appreciate her more.

13. Character We Never Expected to Love - Link

Link started the season off as an underdeveloped plot device. He was poorly utilized (which was a waste of Chris Carmack) and stuck in a stupid love triangle, but we got very little background on him. He made one of the best turnarounds imaginable and became a fan-favorite (and personal favorite). He's laid back, supportive, and kind. He's confident and fantastic at his job. He's great with patients and with people in general. Link's a great guy, and Carmack brings the charm in this role. Thank goodness he was upped to series regular!

14. Scene- Stealer - Bokhee

It was the year of Bokhee! The surgical nurse has been on the series since the very beginning, but this year she had a greater presence than ever. She got multiple lines, and we got to see the woman behind the mask, and even met her husband and saw her in formal wear outside of her scrubs. She not only stole every scene she was in, but she stole our hearts.

15. Most Annoying Character - Teddy

When the news broke that Kim Raver would be a series regular again, it was exciting. But then Teddy spent most of the season being insufferable and annoying with a capital "B." Was it the pregnancy hormones? The only time Teddy was likable this season was when she was with Tom, and then she screwed him over at the end of the season. Outside of that relationship, her discussing her life with Meredith, and the way she tended to her patients during two specific episodes, Teddy was disappointing, flaky, mean-spirited, and irritating.

16. Most Polarizing 'Ship - MerLuca

Fandom response to Meredith and DeLuca is still pretty damn mixed, although DeLuca's stupid, I mean, brave and romantic gesture of taking the fall for Meredith's stupid, I mean nonsensical, I mean passionate decision to commit insurance fraud may have changed the minds of those on the fence or against them.

Many fans enjoy the chemistry between the two of them and how utterly devoted DeLuca is to Meredith and how happy she is with him. Other fans don't feel the chemistry at all, have reservations about their compatibility, or sadly, are still stuck on Derek or against the age difference (which is unfair, you guys), but one thing is for certain, MerLuca has everyone talking.

17. Character Who Deserves Better - Tom

Tom is a character who sneaked up on the viewer. He evolved into an endearing, complex character -- a great doctor, loyal and supportive friend, and an all-around decent guy once you get past his arrogant bravado and humor. He found happiness with Teddy, but now he's about to get kicked to the curb due to her feelings for Owen.

Tom did not deserve to be strung along for most of the season. He didn't deserve to be judged harshly by Owen and others who knew nothing about his life. He didn't deserve to be at the home he found for Teddy putting together a baby crib oblivious to the fact that his girlfriend not only had her baby without contacting him, but she's in love with someone else. Newbie Tom has escaped the season as more likable than the other two he was in a sucky triangle with, and Tom deserves all the best things next season, dammit.

18. Arc We Will Miss - (Not) Betty and Omelia Family

It's a credit to Peyton Kennedy that (Not) Betty made such a lasting impression, and she'll be missed. She was troubled, no doubt, and she came with her fair share of drama, but the family the Shepherd-Hunts formed with Owen, Amelia, Betty, and Leo was heartwarming. Amelia and Betty's relationship was something special, and I'm going to miss the pair's interactions.

19. Storyline that Needed More Development - The Return of Alex's Mother

I don't know why it's so difficult to pull off Alex storylines in recent years, but they tend to be disjointed and all over the place. Helen's return seemed promising, but despite Alex and Jo wondering if she was in her right frame of mind or not, it didn't exactly lead anywhere. She was there and then she wasn't, and her presence was solely used to motivate Jo to find her birth mother.

20. Best Callback - Meredith's Ghosts Montage

Some people loved it and others didn't, but the best callback and most emotional scene of the season go to the Día de Muertos inspired Grey's Anatomy Season 15 Episode 6. It could've been somber, but instead, the episode captured the essence of the holiday and Meredith's walk down the hall seeing the smiling faces of loved ones she lost along the way including her dog was touching instead. It was a lovely tribute to some of those special characters.

21. WORST Love Triangle - Teddy, Owen, and Tom

This love triangle was bad enough, but the worst part about it is IT'S TECHNICALLY STILL GOING ON! Why?!! Owen and Teddy have circled around one another for years, and it's frustrating that they couldn't find their way to each other for good without dragging other people into their love mess. It was never interesting. Teddy deserved better than Owen; Tom deserved better than Teddy, Owen deserved bachelorhood and therapy, and we deserved more than this.

22. Best Standalone - Amelia the Movie

Amelia's standalone episode was a nice change of pace from everything happening at the hospital. It also gave us better insight into Amelia's life and background, a peek into her relationship with her family, and she was able to make amends with her mother and make peace with the deaths of her father and brother. Not to mention the romcom component with Link was nice too.

23. Best Character Development - Levi

It's unfortunate that Casey, Dahlia, and Helm don't get nearly as much development or screentime (they're the most diverse group of interns ever; I hope that's rectified next season). However, it's been a joy watching Levi grow from this bumbling, awkward, meek young intern to a man who is walking in his truth and identity, confident, and more assertive than ever. His arc in which he discovered his sexuality was refreshing and meaningful, and his path of self-discovery in regards to practicing medicine was just as satisfying to watch.

24. Most Inconsistent Couple - Jackson and Maggie

Despite being an unapologetic Jaggie supporter (sorry, not sorry), the two of them gave me whiplash this season. They were in a wonderful place and doing well as a couple. But then there was a weird somewhat proposal by Jackson, and Maggie freaking out, and then Jackson decided he found God and needed to go find himself in the mountains or something, and bailed without so much as a head's up.

But then Maggie wasn't supposed to be angry, and then Jackson was mad at Maggie for, I don't know, being Maggie and gaslit her instead of addressing his possible emotional affair with someone he met while he was away.

But then the two brushed past those issues and were doing well again, and supporting each other through Catherine's cancer arc, and for a while, they became the most stable couple on the series. But then they picked fights during a camping trip, and Jackson disappeared into the fog. Look, I don't know. All I know is, I would like for Jaggie to figure their sh!t out next season.

25. Stupidest Love Triangle - DeLuca, Meredith, and Link

For some reason, the season inundated us with love triangles. The love triangle between Meredith, DeLuca, and Link was not handled well. At the time, we knew little about Link, and he was not getting any development, nor did he have enough scenes with Meredith to convince us he stood a real chance at winning her heart. The triangle was imbalanced from the beginning and always tipped in DeLuca's favor. It didn't paint neither Meredith nor DeLuca in the best light, and half the time Link was unaware he was even in a triangle to begin with, which made it a sucky triangle.

26. Most Satisfying Moment - Tom Punches Owen

OK, so there were a lot of great moments this season, and violence is rarely the answer, but you have to admit it was cathartic when Tom punched Owen in the face. Owen was being an ass, something not unexpected from him, and he had it coming. Hell, maybe Tom could be credited for actually knocking some sense into Owen.

27. Favorite Mentor/Mentee Relationship - Bailey and Alex

Miranda has a soft spot for both Meredith and Alex, and it shows often, but she was much closer to Alex this season since she chose him to serve as interim chief while she took a sabbatical. She confided in him about her anxiety when going into detail about her admittedly ridiculous relationship sabbatical, and even though she was in her feelings about Alex's methods as Chief and how vastly different he was from her and how he was received by others, she was proud of him too.

28. Underrated Friendship - Jackson and Jo

Their dynamic is not one we saw often, but they were featured more during this season, and it was an interesting relationship. Jackson not only gave her advice and bonded with her over their parental issues, but he was a great friend during Jo's depression arc.

29. Sexiest Couple - Amelia and Link

Who else could look this pretty boom-booming in the Blue mood room? It's probably a good thing we didn't get Meredith and Link because of how scintillating Link and Amelia are as a pairing. They're both gorgeous, have smoking hot chemistry, and they have fun and seem to genuinely care about one another. They're a nice balance for one another, and even though Amelia chose to focus on herself, she didn't say no to them pursuing something deeper. Give it to us!

30. Best Sismance - Miranda and Catherine

Miranda and Catherine have one of those relationships which fly under the radar and is generally underrated. It isn't until they share the screen together when you realize how close they have become. Miranda was the one to get through to Catherine and help her accept that's she still alive and should be positive regarding her cancer, and Catherine serves as a sounding board and source of advice for Miranda. Somewhere along the way, they considered each other family.

31. Best Bromance - Jackson and Link

It was subtle, but there were some strong bromantic tendencies in Season 15. Richard, DeLuca, and Link's informal band was something not exploited nearly enough. Owen, Jackson, and Richard working on cases together, or Alex, Link, and Jackson. All of them were great, but if we have to pick one, it's Jinks and their hijinks. Jackson and Link are adorable, and they have a special handshake and everything. What more do you need?

32. Cutest Couple - Schmico

Nico was poorly developed, and Levi and Nico had some bumps in the road when it came to their relationship, but for the most part, they were the cutest couple of the season. You couldn't help but root for the two of them and their happiness.

33. Overall:

It was a solid season of Grey's Anatomy. It delivered on the Season of Love with Meredith finding love by the end of the season with DeLuca, a fan-favorite 'ship in the form of Schmico, and Teddy and Owen finding their way back to one another. However, it also gave us way too many love triangles and dragged them out for longer than necessary.

Couples like Jolex started off the season strong but quickly hit a rough patch that was unsatisfying, and Ben and Miranda were on a weird timeout for most of the season. Also, Jackson and Maggie were all over the place.

Alex still felt sidelined, although it was an improvement from previous seasons. But Meredith took some major steps this season and had some strong moments. Also, Amelia had the best arc overall, Jo finally got some in-depth development and growth, and newer characters Levi, Tom, and Link were worth getting invested in as well.

At times the season felt aimless, but it was much lighter overall than previous seasons; it went back to investing in interesting medical cases and patients, and there were some great dynamics across the board.
