Here is a wrap-up of all the news you need to know from Tuesday, August 20. 

Netflix is taking viewers to The I-Land in just a few short weeks. 

The streamer has confirmed that the seven-part limited series will premiere Thursday, September 12. 

All episodes will be available to stream on that date. 

"When ten people wake up on a treacherous island with no memory of who they are or how they got there, they set off on a trek to try to get back home," reads the official description of the series.

"They soon discover this world is not as it seems. Faced with the I-Land’s extreme psychological and physical challenges, they must rise to their better selves -- or die as their worst ones."

The cast includes Natalie Martinez, Kate Bosworth, Alex Pettyfer, Ronald Peet, Kyle Schmid, Kota Eberhardt, Sibylla Deen, Anthonly Lee Medina, Gilles Geary, and Michele Veintimilla.

Netflix has also dropped the teaser trailer and it has a lot of similarities to a certain festival on an island that did not come to fruition. 

Over on HBO, the premium cabler has handed out a third season renewal to Succession. 

"We are elated that SUCCESSION and its exploration of wealth, power and family has resonated so powerfully with audiences," says Francesca Orsi, Executive Vice President, HBO Drama Programming.

The second season of SUCCESSION continues to track ahead of season one's performance, with the season two debut delivering a series high across HBO's platforms on its debut night. 

Created by Emmy(R), Oscar(R) and WGA nominee Jesse Armstrong ("In the Loop"), SUCCESSION kicked off its ten-episode second season August 11 on HBO and is currently debuting new episodes on Sunday nights.

Beginning where season one dramatically left off, season two follows the Roy family as they struggle to retain control of their empire, and while the future looks increasingly uncertain, it is the past that threatens to ultimately destroy them.

Smith Cameron, Dagmara Dominczyk and Arian Moayed. Holly Hunter, Cherry Jones, Danny Huston, Jeannie Berlin, and Fisher Stevens join the cast for season two. Returning guest stars include James Cromwell and Harriet Walter. 

Giving It Good - Succession Season 2 Episode 1

Over in the land of NCIS: New Orleans, it has been revealed that a former cast member from CSI: New York is joining the cast for multiple episodes. 

Parade reported exclusively that the actor is Eddie Cahill. 

He will be part of an explosive storyline that involves Lasalle's troublemaking brother, Cade. 

As previously reported, NCIS: New Orleans returns to the air Tuesday, September 24.
